I get it, the Coronavirus murdered the 2020 season of the NBA. Chances are, if this season was as agonizingly bad as too many of them are, it was probably a mercy killing.

This also applies to the NHL season, which I thought was JUST FINE because it's the first time since I've been watching the Avs that they were genuinely good. (They had that one other season where they had the best record, but it was obvious they weren't good and weren't going to go far in the playoffs, and they didn't. This year they probably coulda made the finals.)

Great sports season: All games cancelled or incompetent strikebreakers used to increase pain and suffering, plus hopefully, more injuries.

Good sports season: Lots of fights and major injuries. Hockey and American Football and soccer do this quite well. Rugby is excellent at this, it makes the most vicious hockey look tame by comparison.

Bad sports season: Civil behavior and no broken bones.

Can you imagine, the NFL wants to try to reduce concussions and brain injuries. What pussies! If playing sports is not inherently dangerous, then what the hell are the players getting those multi-million-dollar salaries for? The whole idea is that the money they get supports them in their old age when grueling punishment and bodily collisions have reduced them to the intellectual capacity of a mongoloid idiot, or the physical ability of a quadriplegic needing to be fed manually.

Now NASCAR, that's a great sport, that includes audience participation. If you have a really bad spin out or wreck, a car could be launched into the stands and perhaps kill a dozen or more people and injure 50. Now that's entertainment! Why else would anyone watch a sport where people are chasing each other's tails like dogs playing, for two hours? People watch NASCAR to see the terrific man-killing wrecks, fireball-level driver-incinerating explosions, and exciting decapitations! And if there's audience participation, they carry it on the evening news, or their local newspaper, not just in the sports section!
