Hi guys!

Hi guys,

How is everyone? What's new in your lives over the past 10 years? Anyone have any new babies? Grandbabies? Furbabies? Pics please. New houses? Weddings? New Jobs?

I finished up my degree at UofR, ended up with a bachelor's in Mathematics and English. Went on to RIT for grad school in Applied Mathematics. Mid way through I lost the ability to travel in between classes, wheelchair b/c pain/ weakness. So I opted out but I'm always welcome back. Had a massive heart attack. Was unconscious for 3 days, my oxygen was 41 percent, brain 🧠 damage. Later had a case of encephalopathy. Was in the ICU 9 times this summer b/c kidney failure. Now am in wheelchair/ on oxygen/ catheter/ nursing home at 43. Lifespan 2-5 years b/c of diagnosis: congestive heart failure, pulmonary 🫁 fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, left ventricular hypertrophy, lupus, diabetes etc.

Also, I have a grandbaby from one of my older children! Her name is Lilly, she just turned 5!

Hope you are all well, Blue

Hello! I got married and then we adopted a special needs kid from China. We look like this:

Other than that I've mostly just been refreshing this page hoping for someone new to show up. So this is a great success!
Am I a hero? I really can't say. But, yes.

Great to hear pinback, she is beautiful!

ICJ, she's in kindergarten, she can write her own name "Lilliana," she's in dance and soccer. Her favorite Christmas present was Hungry Hungry hippos.

Thanks. Well I prefer tv over movies for the sake of charchter development over seasons. I love watching a show that will reference something hinted at 3 seasons ago and coming to fruition. I play scrabble, checkers, chess, trivia. I'm best at math/ science trivia. I do need to find a video game that interests me again but I have no other platform but this cellphone so I am limited.

Hey that's cool. I generally prefer shows over movies as well; probably due to my short attention span. Lately I've been watching "La Femme Nikita". It does do some of that reference hinting you mentioned.

Woah more than once! The only series I can say I watched more than once is Twin Peaks. Ok, and maybe a few X-Files episodes, oh and.. argh you got me. I do this too sometimes.

My gf loved Stranger Things but I couldn't get into it. Like La Femme Nikita, I'll probably watch it 20 years from now instead lol

Rachel, got Netflix? Try 1899 if so, they present it as fantasy but it's really sci-fi

I tried. Unfortunately, like most series, there is a scene where a child is murdedered and I have intense flashbacks of Noel and cannot continue...

I get that totally. If it helps at all, the child isn't real, they're living in a simulation.

Do you have Prime? The Peripheral is great.

I know you weren't directing that to me, butI will check it out.

I'll offer my own suggestion. An excellent Prime exclusive is Bosch, a crime drama about Harry Bosch, an LAPD detective who investigates serious crimes including murder, while having to deal with problems involving his teenaged daughter and his ex-wife, plus office turf battles and police department politics. The entire series can be streamed on Prime Video.

Depends on what kind of murder. Any child murder? Fillicide? Just checking. I generally stay away from crime dramas/ police shows because of that. Also, sometimes gunshots, especially ones to the chest or head bother me. Sorry.

I'm
' sorry to hear that. Yeah it has both of the examples I gave so that it probably wouldn't work for you.

My sister, on the other hand, is a real serial killer buff, I even bought her a book about one as a birthday present. She appreciated it. And before Pinback or anyone else asks, I did ask her to come visit this board. She wasn't interested.
