Whenever I leave for places such as the airport, a concert, long(ish) walk, etc. I tend to carry around a 28800 mah battery pack with the requisite cables for the ubiquitous phones. Hauling around this much more weight does feel a bit... Extensive? Excessive? None too sure how to compensate with that especially as we don't have a car or vehicle of some kind.
Thus everything is a taxi or a walk (or dare I say... A Bus) bit of exploration.
Anyone else carrying around an extra electrical supply for their electronics with them?

Re: Anyone else haul around a power brick?
Yes, I did. Back maybe 7-8 years ago, I owned a device called a Quirky. Had a cradle the brick socketed into, and the device was about 1/2 the height of a pack of smokes. The device had a standard type A USB socket, to which a device needing power could plug into. Very useful when wanting to charge a device where there was no place to plug in a charger. When you came back you put the Quirky in its cradle so it could recharge. Back then, Micro Center had them on special for about $20. I thought it was a great gadget.
I didn't have a car either, l carried it in my pocket or bag with me in my wheelchair.

I keep a spare battery with me when going on vacation but that's about it. Wouldn't call it a power brick though, it's smaller than a pack of smokes and...
wait, pix.

It's good for two full charge-ups on my phone

It has been years since my battery could not last an entire day.

It has been a couple weeks since I could unplug my laptop at all.
