I am sad that Philly fired Torts. A kid from Fairport was drafted by the Flyers last year, and he's playing with their AHL team this year. He's a 6'4(ish) big body defenseman, who leads the team in +/- (last I knew), and is providing more offense than expected. TOTALLY a Torts kind of player. I'm sad he'll never get to play for him.

I would love Torts in Buffalo. Stop treating these players like snowflakes. It worked in Rochester back in 1996.

Earlier this season, I took the wife and daughter to a Sabres game, and watched JJ Peterka score the GWG in OT.

Tonight, my son went to the game with his girlfriend. They watched JJ Peterka score the GWG in the 4th round of the shootout.

I think JJ and the Sabres should offer us season tickets.

JJ got traded for a "right handed" defenseman and Shane Doan's kid.

I do not understand why the handedness of a defenseman matters. I never heard that shit in the 90s when I was following hockey. NEVER.
