FLIP-PHONE, BABY

Post by Ice Cream Jonsey »

AW YEAEEEEAH!

New flip phone for $50. It's kind of crappy, I think, but I'll know for sure in a few days. It certainly can't be worse than the phone I have currently, HAW HAW HAW.

Number should be the same, and it supports text messaging. So there's that.

I was thinking of getting a Nokia because I heard some have Joysticks and have the best game selections.

I like my motorola flip phone it's about 1 1/2 years old at this point but it's pretty nice, a lot of people had problems with the antenna breaking on it, but I never had an issue.

Thanks. My carrier didn't deign to just give me a new phone in all this time, so I am quite happy to receive this new one.

It -- like some humans -- is BLACK. I quite likes it.

Here's the other thing I enjoyed. Last night I received a phone call with it. I was able to use it untethered from the power line! Oh yeah! (My old phone got to the point where it couldn't do that.)

TECHNOLOGY. It's grand. I think this 20th Century thing is gonna work out before the new century turns after all!

I"m using tracfone now and it's all I want for now. Nextel claims I owe them over 2 grand because I fell behind and tried to get out of the contract. Sprint overcharged me and now wants five hundred or so. Neither of them are getting another dime from me and I'll gladly pay $44 for a tracfone at walmart including some airtime. The phones are basic but who the hell cares. I prefer to turn it off and let people leave me messages anyway.

I was honestly thinking about getting one. Though I want a cheap one that can keep me busy at a bus stop. Are Noika's good for that or what?

The newer Nokia phones (at least the ones Cingular sells) have ALL sorts of games/text messeging options but tend to be on the expensive side. I'm not sure about the older ones.

Yeah, that's the problem. I sure as hell don't want to spend too much on the damn thing and probably won't use it. I think I'll get an MP3 player.

My phone has stated in its "features" section that it can do "radio."

I have seen no evidence of this so far.

Also! For what it's worth, anyone using a musical ring tone needs a bullet directly into their brain. We ALL have the power to do that, but the civilized among us choose not to.

Good day!

(See, I put "Good day!" there so everyone who stumbles across this message will think I'm somehow strangely, slightly civilized myself, even though I am calling for mass extinctions of human garbage. Which musical ring tone people definitely are, sirrahs.)

I love it when I hear people with "In Da Club" or "P.I.M.P". You better be DAMN sure you're a pimp playa hustla before trying to pull that one off.

I completely agree. In fact when in public my phone stays on the vibrate mode as not to disturb the general population, wouldn't it be nice if others did that?

(I am going to regret this post at some time in the near future as it will somehow get twisted into a sexual meaning)

mmmmm, vibrator

I wouldn't be disturbed even if you wanted to use a real vibrator in public.

I'm still half thinking about this phone thing. I do have a tendency to smash things though. Does anyone know how well the things hold up if I give it a good grip? My brother's is going to hell for no reason, the phone techies say it's dirty. Though he might just have an awful phone. Can I get one made out of metal?

I considered getting a Virgin Mobile "pay-as-you-go" kinda thing because I dont use mine much... but they have no coverage in Canada, so whenever I hop over the border, we'd be cell-less. Doesn't make much sense.
