Pirates! must play now!!

Post by AArdvark »

Must have that game.. absolutely must have it. It's in pre order status right now but I can wait a little while longer.

I tried playing it on my emulator and it just isn't the game it used to be. It's like playing Doom 1 and not getting frightened like I used to. Need more..

Er...Don't really know. I haven't followed Sid's work except to see that he did something with civilization. I saw the pre order status of Pirates! and got very happy. Not..uh.. hand towel happy or anything, but a general warm fuzzy feeling all over.

Are there any other games from the C64, Atari 5600, XT era that have made a comeback? All I can think of is Wolfenstein.

So, have you gotcher Pirates! on yet, Varker? If not, I definitely reccomend it. Surprisingly close to the original (or at least the Gold edition I used to play), and 90% of the new stuff is improvement. I don't know how long I'll play it after the nostalgia wears off, but it's a good time thus far.

Anyone played it yet? I've got it... just haven't installed yet. I'm afraid its going to be my crack of 2005.

I'm also curious about how good it'll be. That first game was a riot.
