Pac-Man Championship Edition

Post by Ice Cream Jonsey »

I think there is only one person on here with an Xbox 360, which is Worm. So. Worm, did you get this game? Is it any good?

I am hearing a lot of stories about Xbox 360s overheating and dying. That sounds bad. I always get the consoles 6 years late, so it's frustrating to think that the market will be filled with shitty and broken 360s.

It just plays like Survival Pacman. I played the demo, I don't particularly have a desire to play Pacman without the levels. If this is like your 'tipping point' for a 360. I'll dick around with it a little and provide a better report on it.

Well, no, nothing like that. I am not going to get a new console in the near and far future. I actually had something I wanted to say about the game, couldn't remember it, so then just asked the only person I know that has a 360 their opinion on it.

This thread was doomed before it started. Sorry about that.

never played pacman, i got my 360 at launch. it has a samsung drive and although loud, i've never had an issue with it.

somehow i'm not banned from xbox live but have played exponentially more bootlegs than legit $60 games.

I have a 360.
Am I a hero? I really can't say. But, yes.

If you don't mind me asking, Lysander, how do you play traditional video games? Can you see just well enough to figure out what's going on, or do you have some kind of secret technique involving locational sound or something? I've heard tales of vision-impaired people being absolutely godlike at 2D fighters, but that could just be an urban myth.

I WISH I was GOd-like at 2D fighters--I can kick the ass of just about anyone around here, but they all suck 'roudn theseparts. That fucker Brice Mellon irritates me because his game is Mortal Kombat fucking Deception. Which barely counts as a fighting game, let alone a good one. Aaanyways, yeah, I have jsut enough vision left ot the point that I can play a few games if they have high enough contrast and/or have simple enough geography that I can get a pretty good idea of what resources are available and how to use them. THe first two Oddworld games, for example, which are just godly. ALso, little things can become all kinds of useful, like in Destroy ALl Humans how you can use the mind power cursor to "autoaim" at people--not only does it help my aim but it puts a blue cursor over people, makes 'em easier to disdinguish. I'd have a much harder time playing hte game without it--I do anyway, I basically am fucked trying ot do real missions, but I Find rampage mode more fun anyway.

There is actually a blind pinball game. But in general, no, no pinball.
