Monitor Discharge

Post by Ice Cream Jonsey »

Has anyone done anything like this? There is a monitor removal in my future (for Spy Hunter; the replacement is on its way). And this seems to be instructions on how to do it:

Just curious if anyone here has done such a thing, I know that Vark and Straw crush my experience when it comes to electronic devices like that.

Here is another link, with pictures:

It doesn't seem so bad.

RobB I never knew your basement looked like that.

What does that video have to do with discharging a monitor?

This is another guide on discharging a monitor:

The monitor does not look exactly like that in my Spy Hunter, but I was assuming it was a G07. Now I must investigate to find the exact make and model...

And (once again for my own reference) here is the Real Bob Roberts' page on identifying monitors:

Did ya get zapped yet?

Hook the wires up to a cat first, but videotape it.
