I don't want to trash this, because it seems like an enormous amount of work went into it.
And it is possible that I just can't stand games that have openings which amount to a writer's wankfest, that leave the player hitting the "OK" button and little else.
But man. MAN. A five minute opening that I can't seem to save after. This can't be correct. I suspect I missed the ability to save after the opening. It's 1:30 AM, I just wanted to see what it was like. Please, I'm hoping I have it wrong and it autosaved or something.

There is a save point to your right as soon as you exit the apartment building.
I've been playing this since it was released, and I can honestly say that it is the funniest fucking game I have played in my life. You have to keep in mind that the entire thing is pretty much a giant send-up of RPG's; the heavy-handedness of the writing is mostly intentional.
