happy birthday, usenet.

Post by Jack Straw »

I sent a PM to the milker about this but I don't know if he is even still around here? I miss his posts he should show us his haunted house, if he did one this year.

I haven't used usenet since road runner chopped access to them. But yesterday was the 30th anniversary of wareznet - I mean usenet - and I signed up for 2 months of access for $2.

But now I can't find anything, and there's too many posts to just read through them manually like when they only lasted for 2-3 days on Roadrunner.

A few years ago you had let me use your newzbin account- do you still have it? I'd be more than happy to top up your account if you would let me use it for the next 2 months.
Or do they still allow you to invite? An invitation would work too but again I'm only using it for the short term.

Otherwise, does anyone know of any decent .nzb indexing sites?

I'll have to look around for a public NZB site. The usenet service I use (usenetserver.com) provides one for customers. They're $40 for 3 months, retain 100+ days of posts and whatever their bandwidth is maxes out my cable modem at 20mbit.
