Hey, all. Bugs checking in from Boston. As I mentioned before, I'm quite drunk.
Anyway, though it's a joy to have JC back in my life, it's disappointing how... quiet these boards can be, espec. compared to the Olden Dayz (early 90s, dial-up days).
Hey, ICK, any random chance you have the boards from said Olden Dayz archived anywhere? That could be quite entertaining.

Yeah, it's a crappy stretch of time presently, as I am getting close to releasing a new game. I've basically spent all of today and almost every minute since I got home on Friday working on the thing so it can enter beta-test on Monday. I've noticed that conversation has slowed to a crawl on here as well and as soon as I get over the hump on this game, I hope to do everything possible to get the board hoppin' once again.
(Additionally, the guy who posts as "Ben" on here is currently on a cross-country trip, otherwise he would at least be around and making up gimmick accounts with which to slander me with.)
I think I have a .QWK pack (do you remember those at all?) that had all the "Best of JC" messages floating around here somewhere... I'll try to find it. I have no idea if it's still possible to find a QWK reader in this day and age, but I am guessing that something like the Silly Little Mail Reader (SLMR) can be found if I look hard enough.

Nah, I just didn't get a call back. I wouldn't have even mentioned it on the BBS except I really liked this girl.loafergirl wrote:So what you're saying Jonsey is that as soon as your done humping your game, you're going to hop on top of the board again.... hmm should we take this to mean yourdate plans didn't work out? =) Or is the Silly Little Male er, ah, Mail reader the one your trying to impress with your hardness?
... Also, I thought I came off as charming as all hell. That's the part that sticks in my craw. My craw is stuck plum right with that.
My friend Brew (who she is related to) gets back from his honeymoon this week, I think, so maybe I will toss him a phone call just out of curiousity. Not that I am going to be in a rush to go write, "she found you to be about as attractive as those things running off with the jungle chickies in 'The Time Machine'" if that's what it turns out to be or anything.
But yeah, the competition that I am entering this game (the one you're in) has a deadline of March 31st. After that, there is something called the "Interactive Fiction Art Show" which has a deadline of late April which I have a kinda cool idea that I could probably whip up over a week. In between that, it's just the matter of shaping this place up into one of the funnier places on the net. No problem!

My sympathies regarding the chica. She's a bitch if she doesn't call you. I have an idea, come back to Rochester, we'll all have a Mints outing and get you a lapdance.
And even in my altered state I am aware you are working on GITM. The game in which I shall be attacked by the zombie dog, though I certainly hope you aren't using the last picture in the series JQW took as I strickly forbade him to send it to you as he undoubtedly did. =)
Keep us posted on your progress in both endeavours though.

Well, on one hand -- well, I should say that I wasn't exactly some combination of Romeo, Zorro, the Kissing Bandit and Holden McNeil either. I called her at something like two or three in the afternoon. For me, that's when I do all my socializing because there's no other way to get through the day. I probably just came off as one of the jobless yobs that have infected the state of Colorado like so much bubonic plague.
