Review coming soon! I've caught my death of cold or flu or something, so that might hamper things in the short term.
PS Flack is insane. His complaints were "no character development" and "they left stuff out".
It's a TWENTY HOUR MOVIE. Stuff it has: CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. Stuff it doesn't need any more of: STUFF.

That is true -- in 3 hours the movie has maybe 15 minutes of action, so it does have 2:45 worth of drama ... I just didn't feel like you saw enough of some of the people and too much of others.
I also knew the case would not be solved when one of the lead investigators was Gilbert from Lambda Lambda Lambda. They should have put Booger on the case.

I'm giving you a break here because you're a good contributor to this place and we all like you, so I'm going to just let you know, something for later, you're kinda being EXPERT GUY.Flack wrote:That is true -- in 3 hours the movie has maybe 15 minutes of action, so it does have 2:45 worth of drama ... EXPERT GUY stays in the theater after the credits roll and explains to whoever's still filing out that, UMM, THAT'S NOT EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED, AND MY RESEARCH SHOWS THAT, etc, etc.
Try to see the movie through LAYPERSON'S EYES, and perhaps some of your Expert Guy Complaints might dissolve in the glow of sweet, sweet innocence.

As Zodiac, I'd just like to say that I thought the movie was pretty right-on: and yet another in Fincher's steady development as the most technically proficient director working today.
Although I am better looking than the guy in the movie.
Also, I'm going to fucking kill you.
Erpghz? Qnzarq arne xvyyrq 'rz!

And while I'm no Graysmith, I did write an encryption program once.
As for being expert guy, you are right.

Re: [REVIEW] Zodiac
My brother quoted a review of some movie, which went, "It's about 88 minutes long, and it should have been cut about an hour and a half."pinback wrote:The popular line on this movie seems to be "it's good, but too long, and gets boring in the middle part, which should have been cut out."

No, the movie wasn't called 88 minutes. Now that I think of it, I actually saw that one, I think it was pretty good.pinback wrote:Was it THIS ONE!?!My brother quoted a review of some movie, which went, "It's about 88 minutes long, and it should have been cut about an hour and a half."

He don't own shit. Sometimes he's just too lazy to log in, since this BBS software is terrible and often doesn't save your login cookie.Tdarcos wrote:You cheated! You clearly have two IDs here! (Ice Cream Jonsey and ICJ). I'm reporting you to the owner!ICJ wrote:"Magnolia."

Well, according to this link, the administrative contact, who is at the same street address as the domain owner (which is Self Named as owner, e.g. Jolt Country.com is the listed owner), is Robb Sherwin of Ft. Collins, Colorado. I don't see anyone else from Colorado posting here, so I presume he's the owner. Q.E.D.pinback wrote:He don't own shit.Tdarcos wrote:You cheated! You clearly have two IDs here! I did that, once about ten years ago. I used to own the domain delgatto.com and had the owner as "delgatto software company". It was kind of a joke that I registered that name. Well, some guy named Delgatto called me, and asked me if I'd sell it. We agreed upon a price - I also needed the money - so when I got the money order I changed the address and contact to his, but left the name the same. I called him to give him the domain password, and recommended he leave it as "Delgatto Software Company" because then any time he got a letter addressed to that name he'd know it's someone trolling the Whois records.
