Question: DOES THE DEVICE RECEIVE OR TRANSMIT RADIO-FREQUENCY SIGNALS SUCH AS A RADIO, TV, WALKIE-TALKIE OR CELL PHONE?AArdvark wrote:Summary #1
Here's what you know about the object on my desk so far:
It does NOT have a cord
It is battery powered.
It does NOT connect to a computer.
It is NOT amber vision glasses..
It was made in Hong Kong
It does generate sound and to a lesser extent visual images.
Well, that helped but I'm getting stumped. I want to ask if it's an MP4 player but those connect to a computer. Or maybe not. Oh wait; I never owned one so I wasn't thinking of it.AArdvark wrote:(7) it is NOT bigger than a breadbox.
(8) It does NOT transmit or receive any kind of radio signals.
(9) The object is NOT a blu-ray, MP4, MP3, Mp6-3/8 or any other kind of media player.IS THE DEVICE A DVD OR BLU-RAY DISC, OR MP3 AUDIO OR MP4 AUDIO/VIDEO PLAYER?
(10) Hmmm, interesting. A quandary on my part.....IS THE DEVICE ITSELF A COMPUTER OR IN SOME FASHION A COMPUTING DEVICE?
At this point I'm stumped and need time to think about it. But I'll pass on some things it can't be and the item or items that disqualify it.AArdvark wrote:summary #2

Thank you for the hint. The "computing device" and "audio and video" requirements allow me to exclude something else.AArdvark wrote:OK, I'll give you a couple hints.
It is NOT commonly found on a desk. Certianly not in this generation. It is not something that would normally be on a desk (unless you were me)
There is a picture of it here somewhere, taken inadvertently, when I was working on something else.

Knuckles, if you'd read his hint, he said it is not usually on a desk; calculators are still very common. Go visit a bank sometime. Also he said there's a photo of it here when he was doing something else. There's a multimeter in the snowplow photos. Which picture did you see a calculator?Knuckles the CLown wrote:calculator
