It is worth buying a Saturn for. In a perfect world, the beauty of NiGHTS sells a few million Saturns, and we all are playing sequels to it right now. Sega's decision not to make a NIGHTS sequel for the Dreamcast at ANY point was utterly and totally indefensible.
But anyway. It's got linear level design, but doesn't take control out of your hands. It's the game that every rail shooter should have been, but didn't have the BALLS or COMPETENCE to be. I capitalized those words for EFFECT. If you have a copy of the game, run -- don't walk -- and get yourself a Saturn.
Or, I should say, since that piece of shit still hasn't paid you: steal a fucking Saturn from "The Game" and hook yourself up.

When I saw that it was the first thing I thought I should of done (Your mentioning it Robb tempted me ever so much too). I though did not, I am happy with derailing one thread, and most definitely do not want to derail one about a Sega Saturn game especially a good one. I have a tested BIN+CUE of NiGHTs you can burn a disc and run that in an emulator or just link to one and have me test it before we go through the hastle of distirbuting it seeing as how those emulators are not quite reliable. You can always get LOADS of this shit if you go to classicsega.homeunix.com with DC or DC++.

Anyway if you do happen to get your hands on a Sega Saturn and really want to enjoy it. You will have to modify it. I say these things because if you mod it you can effectively download any game, burn it, and play it. Now, Lik Sang had chips for a GREAT price and if you delve into some of the eastern suppliers you can get them really cheap. I got mine from http://www.gamegizmo.com/ quite expensive compared to some of the shopping around I did after my purchase. The installation is a breeze ... all you need is a soldering iron. Though the instructions are a little confusing but I could always open up my Saturn if you need some GOOD pictures. The online pictures have the wrong wire colors and all so I suggest you go by chip configuration rather than wire color.

I had my review of it up after all.

That review is very unfunny and written around 5 years ago, so please cut me some slack on it.
