Nasty substitution terms for someone you don't like

Post by Tdarcos »

Got this off TMZ, despite the fact it's a broadcast TV program and has to beep-out the profanity, it's still a good couple of jokes.

Q: What's a 12-letter word that can substitute for the name of [name of person you don't like]?
A: Motherfucker

Q: What's a 10-letter word that can substitute for the name of [name of person you don't like]?
A: Cocksucker

They're a celebrity gossip TV show and website. Channel 5 here in Washington carries the show.

The host is Harvey Levin, an entertainment lawyer, who stands around in a cubicle farm while his employees report the juiciest gossip snippets about various celebrities, who's been where, questions they've been asked (sometimes embarrassing, sometimes funny.)

The top one they have today is how Alec Baldwin was thrown off an American Airlines flight for playing some video game when told to turn it off by the stewardess, and Baldwin reportedly said that American is such a horrible carrier that flying it is a "Greyhound Bus experience."

A running gag on the show is jokes that are making fun of Harvey, often by his own staff. (The two jokes I used here are from the show, i.e. some celebrity who didn't like him allegedly said, "What's a 12-letter-word that substitutes for 'Harvey Levin'? Motherfucker." "What's a 10-letter word..." well, you get the idea.)

Their website is http://TMZ.COM, and would probably be something like a scandal sheet if they were a newspaper or an unreasonable facsimile thereof.

They carry it at 6:30 Eastern.

KOKH-TV 25 in Oklahoma City carries TMZ at 10:30 pm. As far as I can tell from TV Guide's website - as hard as it is to believe, TV Guide still provides program listings - TMZ does not appear to be available in the Rochester, NY market; that explains why you wouldn't know about it.

Wikipedia says TMZ is usually carried by Fox or CW outlets in most markets but apparently both stations in your area do not carry it.

If you get Buffalo TV stations, WNLO-TV 23 carries it at 10:30 pm.
