Am I a hero? I really can't say. But, yes.

RetroRomper asked me nicely - but I didn't see his request until I posted 3 or 4 more unrelated messages - so I've gone back and removed all of the off-topic postings I made in this thread. I will, as much as I can remember, to not comment here unless my comment is related to the thread.pinback wrote:"It knows only that it wants. I apologize for spoiling the flow.
I paraphrase my remarks from message 66799 as to why:
"Retroromper sent me a private message asking me not to get into the Fatass Challenge Second Course thread - I can't fit it in the title here so I said Fatass Challenge 2 - because I really wasn't contributing anything related to what was being said there. So I removed my messages from the thread. However, Jonsey has said he does not want people deleting posts and thus destroying the context of the message base.
"To eliminate the possible complaint I'm removing content, all of the items I posted in the Fatass Challenge, which basically were not related to the comments, are reposted in this one message...
"You might ask why I didn't do this in the past. No one ever asked me. Nobody said my comments were bad and destroying the conversation and asked me to stop doing so."
Since RetroRomper thinks I'm clogging up the conversation with irrelevancies - and I came to the conclusion of, "You know what, he's right," - I decided to remove the irrelevancies.
Also, to comply with Jonsey's requirement not to expunge content of posts and thus eliminate the material, I copied all of the off-topic posts here to a separate message so the content has not been deleted, merely moved out of the flow so as not to mess it up.
Each of the off-topic messages content (except this one, which has the explanation, but its original content was moved to the message indicated below) will be replaced with a pointer to this message and the following boiler plate text:
(At the request of Retroromper in a private message he sent me, I have removed this message which is not related to the content of this thread. It is reprinted elsewhere to comply with Jonsey's comment requesting not to remove all content of a message or messages. The content has been moved to message No. 66799 here: http://www.joltcountry.com/phpBB2/viewt ... 6799#66799 .)

I'm going to try very hard to be on topic, so I hope this is, but I saw a report that said someone was in a coma for a very short period of time - I think they said two weeks - and lost 40 pounds. I haven't the slightest idea how.RetroRomper wrote:I'm at 205.
Considering I've barely ingested anything aside from water (my last meal was Wednesday), the only shock I'll have is when I discover how much muscle I've lost. Being ill for three weeks is grand.
Current Weight: 205
Goal Weight: 180
Starting Weight: 211
Someone check me on this, but I presume if you stop eating your body goes into "starvation mode" and the most it will lose is perhaps a pound a week, if that.

Your more than welcome to join us in moderating our diet and generally, being more healthy. Its a journey, its a game, its a Challenge for all of us. But this isn't even spoiling the flow, its being rude because were here, trying to be enjoyable and creative in propping each other up and you basically copied Modemjane in posting rambling nonsense to a thread others were occupying.
I challenge you to take part in the FAC with us and have something relevant to add to the conversation. Otherwise, please just step out.

As I'm officially no longer ill, I'll be heading back to the gym starting Friday (or thereabouts). Since I haven't even touched a treadmill or run above a jog in over a month, starting the Couch to 5k will be difficult as I had previously mastered it.
However, I've bought a new pair of running shoes and would like to work on a front foot based gait, so there is a mental element of training towards something new to push me on.

Despite staying the same, I'm ok with that, as last week had a night of heavy drinking which could have potentially disrupted things a lot.
All in all, I feel like I'm in a making progress in maintaining a healthier routine and just am keeping my eye on the long-term goal. Aardvark has been inspirational in that respect!
