To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Atari, "Atari" (the modern company that's not "really" really Atari) is offering their Atari Classics Collection for free for iOS today only.
Go to the App Store and download the game for free. All the in game purchases (100 games) are normally $1 each, but today, they're free. The collection is about 25% arcade titles and the rest are 2600 ports.
I'mma go back to Yars' Revenge now.

Well, actually, no. Because the way this game works is, they give the app away for free (so it's not on Installus) and then you have to add all the other games you want to play inside the app using in-app purchases. But yesterday, for 24 hours, they set the price to all the in-app games for free, so you could install the app and then download all the games for free.
If you missed out on the opportunity ... well, you didn't miss much. I mean, I downloaded them all (because that's what I do) and then they are all almost impossible to play with touch screen controls. Night Driver becomes "Undriveable 8 Bit Crash Simulator". The others are worse.
