Robert Bork, ultraconservative judge, died today. Bork is most remembered for being rejected as Reagan's nominee for the Supreme Court.
When I heard of his nomination I had no idea who he was, until they mentioned he wrote a book on Antitrust Law years before. It was at that point I realized I had read that very book. I had checked it out of the Main Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library, before it had those two internationally infamous fires.
(I say "internationally infamous" because the Downtown LA Library fires got extensive coverage in the newspapers throughout the Soviet Union. They covered one of the fires because it was much more important than a minor competing story, the meltdown at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.)

By posting "right" I was just noting that Paul made a good post. That's all. Please don't hit me.
It's okay, Ice Cream, we've all known that you're a sweetie, like an overloaded Rocky Road (rather than, say, a plain chocolate) because you're completely nuts!

What's kind of amazing is this is (a picture of a much younger ) face of a throat cancer survivor who died at 90 years old. Sure he didn't have a voice for the last 20 some years of his life but he lived as long as anyone can hope or really want to.

How does it feel to be dead?
For the living know that they will die, but the dead don't know anything, neither do they have any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

I had a better one about Dear Abby I was thinking of:
Dear Abby, what can we do about Tdarcos ridiculous, topic killing and insulting questions and commentary?
(no answer)
Oh, you're dead, eh? I guess we're shit out of luck.
