My wife submitted two Kickstarter attempts and each one was rejected. The first time it got rejected because, according to Kickstarter, you're not allowed to solicit funds for real estate purposes. The second time it was rejected it was because you're not allowed to ask for money for charity. She gave up after that.

I donated to a couple of Kickstarter projects that have gone silent. I need to go log in and see which ones I backed and what happened to them. When you get tens of thousands of dollars and fail, people tend to notice. When you get a few thousand and nothing happens, people act like it's no big deal.

They're trying again.

Only going for $10,000 this time but now it looks like they're gonna blow through that like the Kool-Aid guy through a wall of bricks.

Well, the Twilight Zone table came out for my Android tablet. So that actually beat the 2013 guess I had made. Which means it is off the list and I can put another game there.

And maybe I can actually include screenshots and descriptions like all you nice people?

I am now on something like 3 of the 17 Kickstarters I have supported to where they finished stuff. (I am not including Diaspora in the "completed" category. That was an enormous fucking rip off in every way, shape and form and those assholes had the audacity to ask everyone for more money when they didn't release shit or send people CDs. I am sure they all think they knocked it out of the park somehow.)

Yeah, if you could actually participate, that'd be great.

Yeeeeeeeees. I thought of you when I saw that.

$500,000 for a MULE clone. Then they went to that one. None of those guys invented MULE, by the way. None of those guys invented MULE.

Just downloaded the demo on my PS3

I gotta say, I usually don't do the demo thing but I downloaded it anyway, just for kicks, and may just go so far as to buy the whole thing.

In the first five minutes I spotted Bomberman, Mario and Mega-Man. What's not to like?

I used to have a ton of demos on my PS3. I found that I rarely played them long or far enough to justify buying the full versions. My friend bought me Xbox Live for Christmas so I need to get my 360 hooked back up. Once or twice a year I go to Vintage Stock and pick up a few $10-$20 PS3 games. I never play them. I just buy them.

I would like to officially switch out my #3 for Predestination, which I feel 1) has a much better chance of being completed, 2) has a much better chance of being great, and 3) has a way, way hotter Project Manager.

Well, we're a month into 2013. Let's check my list and see if there's any changes I'd like to make:
pinback wrote:Jonathan Blow's The Witness
I am still looking forward to this. Mainly I am looking forward to this AT some of you people, and am looking forward to enjoying it AT you, because of your negative-obsession with the author. If I ever complete it? I will be completing it AT you.
COMMAND: MODERN AIR/NAVAL OPERATIONS
Matrix Games has been signed as the publisher, which means you can be awfully sure that it will cost more than any other game on the market, and will never go down in price, even if it's fifteen years old. Nevertheless, yes. Gimme it. Last year's Naval War: Arctic Circle gave me a taste, but I'm ready for more. I want to explode more things with boats.
Star Lords
No! No no no. I found this before I began 4xgamer.com. Since then, I've come to realize there's so much more in the world of 4x gaming to be looking forward to. Also I've come to realize that the alpha version of this game is pretty terrible, and I don't think it's going to get much better before release. They're nice guys. I wish them well. But I am most definitely replacing this entry with:

StarDrive which will be on Steam in open beta shortly, and which already gives me funny tingly feelings whenever I see a video of someone playing it.
StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm
Retro already got me the beta. I am already in Bronze, and terrible, at it. That being said, I have already told everyone that I am taking off of work on March 12, 2013. Or March 13, since I should be getting the collector's edition from Amazon on the 12th.

Thank you, Retro.

Let's be honest. I'm moving this up to the #1 spot, even though I already have, and can play, most of it. SC2 continues to be the only game I've ever loved.
Grand Theft Auto FiVe
This comes out in September or some shit. Which is perfect.

Good list, Pinback.

Let's check the status of pinback's 2013 most anticipated:

Jonathan Blow's The Witness

Not out yet. Zero chance will actually be released in 2013.

COMMAND: MODERN AIR/NAVAL OPERATIONS

Just came out. Apparently full of bugs, bad user interface, and costs 80 fucking dollars. PASS.

Star Lords

They found a publisher and apparently are in the process of rewriting the whole thing. "Almost ready to show you guys what we've been up to!" - the devs, once a month or so. Zero chance of being released in 2013.

StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm

Came out. Was great. I don't play SC2 anymore. :(

Grand Theft Auto FiVe

Came out. Was great. By the time I have time to play it I'm too tired and just wanna watch BB reruns.

Pathetic display.

:(
