USB Flash Drives

Post by danzaland »

Anybody use them? I just ordered one from computergeeks.com. 512MB for $118 plus shipping. The same size at Bestbuy is $289.99.
I am beginning to like computergeeks.com.
Bestbuy wanted $120 for the 256MB or Sony's 128.
Now I just have to use it......

Yeah, I've encountered them at work. They are pretty solid. There is a standard price to ordering the Kanguru ones on-line, it seems, but at retail it seems to be every man for himself.
the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey!

We use them here at work as well. I've tested a number of different makes, and the only ones that worked well with all operating systems (Windows, Mac OS9, Mac OSX, etc.) was the Trek Thumbdrive. All of the others had weird idiosyncrasies with certain versions of some operating systems, or didn't work at all.
