It's been a long goddamn time since there's been a great episode of The Walking Dead.

Three out of four stars. A little too "check us out, we're doing an artsy one!" for me, but that's just me.
Am I a hero? I really can't say. But, yes.

Would you say that you're dying to see a new episode, or that it's killing you that you can't?

My wife and I disagree about the last episode. The last two, actually, but lets focus on this one.

She thought it was great.

I thought PARTS of it were excellent, but the last five minutes were so laughably bad that we both actually laughed while it was happening. She, thought, though, that we were laughing WITH it, while I thought we-- I thought it sucked.

It hasn't been the chasm of suck that season two was, and the mission with Glenn and the autistic guy was pretty fun, but other than that, who gives a shit? Actually, now that I think about it, has there ever been a bad episode that featured Glenn? The scene where Merle locks a zombie in the room with him was the best scene in the show's history. When he was doing voice over to Rick in the tank it was awesome. Glenn doesn't even need to be physically present to be awesome.

They have absolutely wasted Norman Reedus. Melissa McBride is the only person putting forth a notable performance. Reedus should be making action movies, so maybe none of this matters.

Oh.

Well, that was one of the single most exciting episodes in the show's history. Why can't they all be like that?
