I can't think of a celebrity that has died as stupidly as this guy. Who in the world gets pinned to a fence by his own car he just got out of? He probably didn't die right away, I can imagine just how much he was kicking himself for not putting the lever in Park or just using a parking break like you're supposed to do on a hill.

And he wasn't a red shirt, that's what really burns.

Unfortunately he did wear a red shirt in one scene, which may have done him in.

Well, there IS that whole "recall due to vehicle pretending to be in park when it is not" bit, but that's probably more of a red herring...

He had so many great lines it's hard to think of all of them. Here are three.

[Silver Streak, trying to explain to a sheriff who can't seem to understand that a murder happened] "You stupid bastard! I've seen some stupid bastards in my life but you take the cake!"

[Willy Wonka, as the eponymous character, watching Augustus Gloop stuck in the transparent feed pipe] "The suspense is terrible. I hope it lasts."

[Blazing Saddles] Clevon Little as Sheriff Bart (to Wilder): Since I am your host, and you are my guest, what do you like to do?
Wilder, as The Waco Kid: Play chess. (long pause) Screw.
Bart: (quickly) Let's play chess.

I'm not afraid, any more."

I post this death and explain who it is because it's not going to be obvious to everyone who the person is. Edward Albee wrote lots of plays but I know one of his works because it's a brilliant study of a dysfunctional relationship, probably more dysfunctional than most people here can relate to but maybe some can (Straw's ghost probably). The interesting thing about the movie "whos afraid of virginia wolf" besides depicting an absolutely epic fail of an evening with a dysfunctional couple, it also was acted by Elizabeth Taylor who was at the time fat and old looking due to addiction and depression and Richard Burton who at the time was a raging alcoholic and ended up dying of that I think so there's an incredible reality to the film.
