Now now, I said that I was whiny and self-important. I also implied that there were other whiny, self-important people at LJ... I did NOT, however, say that all people at LJ possessed those qualities, nor did I say that you in particular possessed those qualities.

In addition, the entire statement was cloaked in a warm layer of self-mocking sarcasm, straight from the dryer, and smelling of fabric softener.

There are a surprising number of Jolt Country denizens with extremely gay livejournals.

I just recently discovered this, and am shocked and horrified.

I like how I typed that in perfect caveman.

Livejournal is kind of neat.

You have GOT to be fucking kidding me. If this "journal" is some sort of attempt at humor, you guys need to let me know....I sure can't figure it out myself.

Hi all... I'm quite new to IF, Fallacy of Dawn was the first one I downloaded. I enjoed it so much that I thought I'd try Necrotic Dawn. I've never played D&D, but I've gotten pretty far without any intrinsic knowledge about the rpg. However, I'm stuck on the poltergeist... he won't let me go anywhere and I've tried talking to him and throwing things at him. I feel that there's something I just don't know about poltergeists... any help?

Okay... this one's an odd leap for RobB because the solution to the puzzle is actually something I tried thinking it could lead to an exploitation in the game. See, the Poltergeist, much like the whiny shits who they're based on, cannot be dealt with directly. (Poltergeists are, to their metal, far more irritating than neopagans because you can at least slap a neopagan around like thewhiny stupid bitch he really is.) (I had always thought that talking to the Poltergeist would be a really neat alternate solution--I mean, they always want somebody to talk to because they are attention whoring neopagans, right? So wouldn't it be cool to leave the Poltergeist dazzled with your spectacular rage and "Oh, you have *problems*, do you?" monalogues? Just a thought, just a thought!) So, since the Poltergeist "does not want to be helped," and so you can't solve its problems, you must instead deal with the more immediate fact that it is throwing things at you. Deal with that problem, my friend, and you are good to go! *Good* to *go*, I say!

Wow, the jewel? : P

Well, you've got to look at what it's using to attack you and think about what you can do with it so it won't have it anymore.

I don't know if it'll stay this way by the time everyone sees this, but this is at least the second day in that ND has roped the #1 spot at the IF Ratings site:
