Surely, there are some RPG elements present in the game. Where there's Moonrogue, there's Spacecleric.

You can "play" a "role", but that's determined 100% by your actions, not by selecting a class. If you trade a lot, your role is a "trailer". If you go around blowing up noobs, your role is "asshole".
Am I a hero? I really can't say. But, yes.
