Re: Random thoughts
Huh I never thought about that. I want to say one of my favorite cars as a kid was the Dukes of Hazard car and it was matchbox, but the hot wheels cars were generally better for hot wheels tracks.
Speaking of tracks.. I had this thing!

Re: Random thoughts
cool, me too, I must have bought 4 or 5 of the matchbox type ones. Favorite was my R/C General Lee (except it was the hated reverse turn kind).Jizaboz wrote: Thu Aug 18, 2022 6:13 pm one of my favorite cars as a kid was the Dukes of Hazard car and it was matchbox
Just found this going through some old kid stuff. When I was a kid I had a wine case box full of these kind of cars that I got from a garage sale. Every kind of car imaginable and probably worth real money now, I sold it at my own garage sale for like $5. This is the only one remaining, apparently I didn't have a charger so 8 year old me painted a Corvette.

Yea cuz retiring at 32 and 37 isn't lazy. At least Gary Larson kept going until 45 and the doonesbury guy still does Sundays.

This is about the Chinese textbooks that were revised because they were too ugly and Bill the Cat-like. Shit, who wouldn't retire in their thirties if they could?

Fine but he's still a jerk. Making me go to Facebook and the last new strip was April 11? Fine.

Actually, his FB page is pretty good. I like the stories he gives when he re-posts his old stuff. Now I have exactly 1 reason to go to facebook.

In this thread, a phone-scamming zero calls two of the best comic strip authors in history lazy jerks.

Re: Random thoughts
Just out of curiosity.. (totally not gonna rib you if you say no) but do you actually do any of these operations yourself or are you acting as a middle-man? Because if you are that's cool. If you aren't that's also cool.. I'm still doing freelance/contract work and a lot of it is security related and boy oh boy do I know more about running and administering Kubernetes clusters than I wanted about a year and a half ago lol. I'm only working in AWS though and trying to avoid any client that insists on Azure like the plague.

Why, want to earn some extra cash? IfI understand your question, my company just sets sales qualified leads for those clients for $500 each appt. Right now it's just me and my cell phone and some 12 hr days (well, I have 3 premium databases for contact data, that's my biggest expense). Edit: I'll elaborate, over 26 years I've acquired a particular set of skills that allow me toJizaboz wrote: Wed Aug 24, 2022 11:15 pm Just out of curiosity.. figure out a B2B call campaign without training or hand holding. I do intend to outsource most calling but Im going to have to at least start up each campaign. Next step is add contractors. You're right, long term goal is to be an information middle man. aka Wall Street "don't just bring me information, go get it".

If you work w/ a legit company and are willing to sit for a 15 min intro about hardening of your pods and containers I'll split the fee with you (pinner, that's scammy but the other direction so OK)

Re: Random thoughts
Would love to learn why you hate Azure? Is it working with the tech or people who choose Azure that's the problem. (In fact, you could vent at an Indian founder about azure as a bonus)Jizaboz wrote: Wed Aug 24, 2022 11:15 pm trying to avoid any client that insists on Azure like the plague.
