Is this some quasi-way to try to guilt me into having a life? I honestly will shoot up dope on my birthday for the first time If I hear this kind of shit again.
Tomorrow is Worm's birthday, so I will understand if he cannot make the Starcraft venture.
You motherfuckers. I'm gonna zerg your candy asses, like it's a sweet rotten steak left in some guy's office as part of a stupid internet experiment (do you remember that?) on my MOTHERFUCKING BIRTHDAY.
Motherfuckers, you better get the LYSOL, cuz I'm going to have CREEP coming through your motherfucking NIC card. It's gonna smell like HELL, it's gonna smell like a dead brimstone rat being feasted on by battery acid maggots. I'm gonna zerg you so hard you're gonna try to look up James Raynor in the yellow pages and call him bawling.
I dunno. It would have been nice if anyone ever did a test run. I personally do not need to be involved in test runs. Honestly, I'll stay up, we'll hit lag again, and then I'll uninstall Starcraft.
Well, we finally did it. StarCraft Nite, finally, was a success.
If I can leave you with a couple of thoughts, they would be these:
1. Worm is a crying, whining little baby who exited the game the first time he saw he wasn't going to trounce us (CGG and myself) within the first five minutes. A more sorry, inexcusable display of wussitude I cannot recall. If I were him, I would have gone to a birthday party instead. Welcome to 22, LOSER. What a disaster. You SUCK, Worm.
2. Thanks to WORM for creating a game on there that, finally, we could all play! Well, all of us except for Worm, who got overrun and destroyed within, like, 200 seconds of the game starting.
3. CGG is a fine competitor. Though there had to be a "winner", I feel confident in saying that there were no losers of this match (except for WORM, as previously mentioned.)
Everybody dives out to pick out a copy because you want to play, and you can't even properly configure your game for hosting. Then finally, once I resolve my issues with the game and host, it's still fucking Starcraft, and you can't even be bothered to play in anything but 'dead serious' mode.
What bullshit, "trounce everyone"? I really didn't expect to win, hell I wasn't even playing to win, I made a zerg rush but way too late, and then I just went with it because the game isn't worth devoting thought to. I don't like having to hover over everything to what I need to build, and I don't have the tech tree tacked above my computer like you.
Look, if you wanted to play this game online you should have stuck to doing it with battle.net trash. They're the only people left with stomach for the fucking thing.
It was the most rude and obnoxious thing to foist your shitty old game on everyone here, it only reaches legendary levels of being a dick when you train so Multiplayer with you has all the depth, fun, or intrigue of any other generic battle.net tard.
Eat dick. It was a game that no one wanted to even play and got guilted into by Pinner. Who suprisingly devoted a disportionate amount of time to getting good at it. Making it some masochistic forced shit eating fantasy. I played it once, I'm no longer good at it. Fuck off until we can decide on a game that's fun even if I don't invest time into daily.
Regardless of what you think about Starcraft, it's not fun unless you get good at it, and you need to work toward getting good at it. I'm not going to devote time into an old game to play with three people I know and some fucking battle.net toads. There's no added value in Starcraft, I'll just get rusty at it again in time for SC2.
I can't deal with this only 11 o'clock or later shit either, so it's really moot.
Sorry I wasn't around. I didn't think it was a "go" that we were all going to play, so I wasn't near a PC last night. I checked on my Yahoo IM client, assuming someone would ping me there, so why it's my fault I take none of the blame. Or something.
Hear you on the 11:00 EST start times. I threw 9:00 out there because I was getting crushed at work when we first wanted to do this.
That being said, I'd really, truly like to participate. So I am asking Ben to throw out a possible time. Next week, this week, whatever. I will be really disappointed if he reads this thread and does not throw out a time, but I have been running this BBS in one form or another for 17 years and I know the fallacy of the direct question on Jolt Country.
Have all the info at least 2 days in advance (so I 'll remember)
and I'll get in on this. I haven't really played SC in years but, to my surprise, it's installed on this machine. Kid must have done it when he first came home from college.
