Although the rest of your psychotic post was absurdly ignorant, this part is simply factually incorrect. There have been maybe one or two incidents of people hitting 1.0% without dying, but they are hard to track down, and not very reliably reported. 0.3% itself is a remarkable amount, so that's what you probably heard, and your slop-filled mind
Goddammit, STOP. I made a mistake, but what you did is over-the-line. So now, you have two choices. You will apologize to me, today, for your uncalled for and vicious insult, or you can take me off your world. Don't ever call me, don't contact me on Skype, take my name off of the opening as someone who's on your show, don't expect me to ever be on the show again.
I am a normal human being who makes mistakes, and you could simply have called me on it. But I have had it up to my eyeballs about this. I am sick and fucking tired of being treated as a goddam doormat, and you just wiped your feet on me one time too often.
I'm ready to toss twenty years of friendship with you away because I am totally pissed that you would treat me this way. If I make a mistake, fine, point it out. But what you did was totally unacceptable.
I can understand the CRs over at Caltrops insulting me, they're a bunch of sub-mononic scumbags who have no pride and no sense of honor. But for you to be so vicious against someone whom supposedly you've known for something like twenty years, well, if you can be that way then there's no point in bothering with you.
But I'm not demanding anything. If you do not want to have further contact with me then you do not have to do anything at all. I will understand and I will consider you dead, just like Eurotrash.

By the way, you've got about 10 hours to calm the fuck down, because the show is on tonight.

Okay. Fine, if that's what you want. I am sick and tired of being a doormat. I am deeply sorry that you haven't got the guts to even admit you were wrong. Since you have said that, I will accept that to be the case.
I pity you and I hope you someday obtain treatment for your disease.

More questions!
How would you describe yourself when drunk? Happy? Sad? Angry? Garrulous? Withdrawn? Combination? None of the above?
You mentioned doctors' warnings earlier -- did you yourself notice a gradual worsening of physical effects?

Great question!
1. Much more talkative. That's the only way most people ever notice that I've had a few (or a dozen).
2. More obsessive about things, "this is the greatest thing ever!", etc., etc. (See: 80% of the threads I've ever started on this BBS.)
3. LATELY: More prone to resentment and anger, but I bottle it all up or go outside and punch the wall. But that's rare.

I never used to be tired all the time. I was tired all the time. That was the only noticeable physical effect.

01. Define alcoholism. Does that mean you drink daily, or does it mean you drink too much when you drink?
Someone I know is one so I've seen all of it.
An "alcoholic" is someone who has an addiction to consumption of alcohol which interferes with their ability to live their life.
Oh jesus you are such an asshole on top of your constant need to expound on subjects you know nothing about I have to step in here with no regard for all the people who have doubtlessly called you out on being a pile of shit and rendered this post redundant.
Why in the fuck do you think English has the concept of "functional alcoholic" you retarded shitbag?
I don't want to tread on pinback's toes but for me the dividing line for alcoholism is when your body is telling you not to have a drink but your mind says "fuck you, hangover, a glass of gin will make me feel right as rain!" People who can't stop drinking after the 1st drink but can go days or weeks between sessions I think of as binge drinkers. This objectively includes all of the United kingdom.
TL;DR: Man-child without a working sense of empathy who refuses to drink alcohol has opinions about how it affects the psyche.
P.S. Man, I get your anger on the kids thing, Flack.

And why the fuck do you think that is, you pompous fucking cretin? Do you have any theories? Do you want to correct me and tell me that they are hypotheses? Tell us why, in your own words, literally everyone does not read a word you write?

Tdarcos wrote:So, clearly, I said, that I have real-world experience with the issue because someone I know - who happens to be close to me - is an alcoholic and I've been watching them and hearing their explanations for years.
Consider the following. I am not an alcoholic, but i have personal experience dealing with one over several years. Thus I can be completely unbiased about the issue.
Oh I'm sorry, you have black friends! Crisis averted!
To the non-insane: sorry, I am not batching up my replies due to gin on an empty stomach. They should scroll by fast enough.

I've noticed alcohol provides a bit of levity and giddiness, but in general it just magnifies any emotions you might be feeling. This is especially true with a strong drunk: alcohol doesn't "make you do" anything, alcohol just shuts off the filter that stops you from acting like an unthinking animal in polite society. The "mean drunk" wants to punch everybody he meets, but his consciousness tells him that there are consequences. 6 tequila shots later that filter is NOT monitoring one's actions and breaking a pint glass over someone's head for bumping you is the result.
I feel this is alcohols great blessing and curse. Other drugs just create a certain mood. Alcohol amplifies whatever mood you have, and your mood can change quickly.
Seriously, I'll shut up now, until I have to call Dr. Tacos an asshole again.
