- 3-4 pounds chicken wings. Not frozen
- about 1/4 bottle Frank's redhot regular sauce.
- tablespoon of baking powder (NOT soda)
- half tablespoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons margarine
1. Preheat oven to 250f.
2. Roll chicken in baking powder and salt or shake in a bag.
3. Line a pan with foil. Then put a grate over the pan. Most roasting pans from Wal-Mart come with grill grate things.
4. Align wings whole or whatever on the grate. Touching is fine. Put in oven on rack 2nd closest from bottom
5. Cook 30 mins
6. Remove wings and turn oven up to 450f. Put wings on 2nd rack from the top now.
7. Cook 25 mins. Remove tray. Rotate. Do not flip wings at any time! Let Cook another 20 mins.
8. Repeat #7 if using whole wings OR if thermal temp of meat isn't 170f yet.
9. Heat margarine in microwave for a few seconds then stir hot sauce into it.
10. Put sauce on wings however you want. EAT.

Note: wings should be dried with paper towels before applying salt and stuff. Also, adding a bit of black pepper, paprika, garlic, etc in that phase will just make things better perhaps but the base recipe should remain simple.

This sounds like a great recipe, but... 75+ minutes? Here's what would happen in my house.
01. Put wings in oven.
02. Run to Wing Stop. Buy 10 wings. Eat them.
03. Rush home. Rotate/move wings.
04. Run to Buffalo Wild Wings. Buy 10 more wings and some beer. Consume.
05. Rush back home. Remove wings.
06. Throw wings away. Sick of eating wings.

Exactly. Only the phone call would be to a local bar where the wings would be waiting for me to pick them up and take them home to eat.
Cooking my own chicken wings is like making beer. Sure, I could learn how but what's the point when so many others do it better and want to sell me some. I get the part about the food creation/ satisfaction but downing a dozen sweet and sour is way more sasisfying.

Here is what would happen in my house: I open the 3rd box of Quisp and jack off to food pics that Jizaboz instagrammed.

I make my own wings. To me, the point is thusly:
1. I can make my own sauce, using whatever hot sauce I want. Heartbreaking Dawn's Cauterizer wings? Boom, done. Fuckin'... fuckin'... Texas Pete mixed with Tiger Sauce and Gochujang? BOOM. DONE.
2. I enjoy every step of the process. Cuttin' the wings is like doing lots of little puzzles, and when you get 'em right, it's very satisfying. The enticing burble and crackle of the oil as it goes to town on them wings. And then the big TOSS at the end? The TOSS? Good times.
I can imagine if you don't enjoy that process, #2 doesn't interest you. And if you aren't a hot sauce nut, #1 doesn't either.
So, I understand. I just want you to see where
I'm coming from.

Man, some people think that the wings, being small, come from tiny chickens! hahaha!
(I used to think that.)

I wonder how many people thought Buffalo wings came from buffaloes?
Side item: What's the longest sentence in English that is grammatically correct and makes sense, using one word?
Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo.
(Translation: Buffaloes from Buffalo (New York) are mean to Buffaloes from Buffalo.)

We talk about whatever Paul most recently got wrong. In every thread.
That's what this BBS is now. LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT. (Or continue posting.)

Surprise! Paul got something wrong! Man, now I've seen everything.
The correct answer is:
Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.
And now proceed to provide context, which I did, and you did not.

Since Google is apparently down in Prince George's county:
"Bison from Buffalo, New York who are intimidated by other bison in their community also happen to intimidate other bison in their community."

I would state that you are in a unique situation, when it comes to chicken wings, in the area in which you live. We could pretty much call any place up back home and they could have wings ready in 20 minutes. It is definitely something I miss out here!
Jiz, thank you for your recipe and contribution. They seem delicious!

Which means YOU GOT IT WRONG. You said:
pinback wrote:Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.
You should have said:
Buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.
Correct capitalization carries correct context.

You're continuing to be wrong about every single thing you're saying here.
One more try, and then I give up:
Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.
Now I will add punctuation and prepositions to help your fat brain understand:
Buffalo buffalo, which Buffalo buffalo buffalo, also buffalo Buffalo buffalo.

Why does every topic here turn into field-trip-to-the-disturbed-ward?
Well, I like me some chicken wings, That's all I'm gonna say. Cooking them at home is OK but ready-made is better, in my opinion.

Yeah don't get me wrong. We've got a East Coast Wings nearby and I could eat that a lot more often than I should. I saw 2 packages of wings at the grocery store while buying beer marked down (wings are much more expensive than they used to be) and whipped them up with this recipe. I don't own a fry daddy and I didn't want to make a greasy mess on the stove.
You know one thing that pisses me off about eating wings out though? When you get wings that have been cut and you find a wing with a BROKEN BONE in it. If you're lucky you didn't break a tooth, if you're unlucky.. hello choking hazard.
