One person had a spelling error - which the spell checker should have caught, meaning he ignored it - so I pointed it out. Okay, so in response, does he pick on me back once, twice, three times? I was polite about the one item. He comes down on me like a ton of bricks smashing on me many, many times. But if you're going to be sarcastic and mean at me, you take the risk I'll respond in kind.

As I noted, I was being a little bit nit picky by correcting his spelling mistake. So rather than maybe two or three times, he comes smashing down on me with a mean response that went way over the line.
None of you liked the equivalent response to his pound, and pound, and pound on me, over, and over and over and over. You know, if you kick a dog often enough he's liable to bite back.
Did I overreact? Yeah, looking at it now it was probably too much and maybe I needed to be less insulting. But I was pissed off by his clear overreaction which went from potentially funny to downright mean. So maybe I overreacted.
Let's not forget I'm going through this goddam shit with the fucking Jury Commissioner's office that I can't get those morons to understand that if I can't get there by 7:30 but can get there by 7:45, the answer is to give me permission to arrive 20 minutes late, not give me a new 7:30 appointment a month later. (I got the new summons in the mail on Thursday.) I can see nobody there unable to understand and this escalating so much that either I have to demand an accommodation under the Americans With Disabilities act or get a disability lawyer to take it on a contingency basis and make a federal case out of it. Which I shouldn't have to; I'm in the same situation as if I was an ordinary man who could walk and had to take The Bus.
And Flack, I should not have cursed at you. Your chronic, constant, continuous pounding upon me a myriad of times for a single, minor nit pick just pissed me off.
