After two and a half years of hard work, I now own an expensive piece of paper (and a hood to match) that says I know how to write.
Whew.

Congratulations man, that's a lot of keyboard time right there. Can we all be included in the dedication of your Pulitzer winning novel?

The day she told me she had not seen Goonies "because I was one when it came out" I knew she was not the one for me.
Also, this is the most delicious (and expensive) cake I have ever tasted.

Yeah, all decent movies and books come out in a given person's lifetime. Everyone knows that.
Flack, congrats again. My phone tried fighting me when it came to displaying the PDF of your novel in Amazon - I'd like to think it's malice because they want me buying books through their walled garden, but it is probably not that. (I brought the PDF in to read it on the Kindle app and it removed it. I brought it back in.)
I am now three chapters in. The detail about Old Man Murray is one of those things that separate student projects to the work of a professional - not because of the reference (which I enjoyed) but because an abandoned car marking the entrance to a town that is there before our protagonist leaves and STILL being there when he returns feels right. It is a metaphor for the town itself - nothing will change, but definitely nothing will improve. Additionally, Wikipedians tried to delete the car and almost succeeded, ha ha ha.
