Gritty

We were told that Gritty, our 12-year old golden retriever, had a mass on his tail. They gave us some percentage that it would be cancerous, I think it was 60%. Well, he's a 12-year old golden retriever. Come on, I've been through this, I know the odds.
We took him into surgery today. We wanted a scan done on him. If it WAS cancer and it did spread and it was all over his body we didn't want the mass removed from his tail and his tail to be amputated. We saw him off to surgery and waited for the results.
I just wanted to post because for once when it came to taking an animal to the vet we actually got good news. He doesn't have cancer all over his body. We took the tail off anyway. No, that's a joke.
McDonald's tomorrow is on me, Gritters.
