I just want to wish a quick Happy Mother's Day to loafergirl and any other mothers who might be reading this. These are tough times, but I'm pretty sure you ladies are doing a great job nonetheless. You probably aren't getting the support or the praise you deserve, but I'm selfishly hoping you'll keep on keeping on...after all, society kind of depends on it.

I also want to take this time to offer brief shout-outs to the surviving members of the Mothers of Invention and to the baddest mother I know, pinback!

Great point. I called my mother today. We are going to go virtual-shopping for groceries on Wednesday. Together at a distance! It is a new weekly mother/son tradition thanks to some poor blotchy asshole eating raw bat off the bone somewhere on the planet in October.
