How many fights over masks will there be at Walmarts next week?

Post by Casual Observer »

So Walmart and Kroger will be requiring masks nationwide starting next week. Given that ive personally witnessed multiple confrontations at stores in a democratic leaning state, I'm predicting an epic wave of fights at these stores for us all to read and laugh about. Per Billys request lets make a poll.

You made this poll just so you could vote on it.
Am I a hero? I really can't say. But, yes.

I didn't even look at the numbers on the poll, I just went to the highest one and voted. I've seen it happen personally, and I live in the state where people were threatening to shoot Walmart employees the last time the city tried to impose a mask rule. I expect there to be dozens of conflicts the first day. Actually, I expect a line of gigantic pickup trucks driven by overweight neckbeards to block entrance to a store. You wait.

About the only thing I regret is these fools who go out in public and refuse to wear a mask either won''t catch the disease and die, or they'll be asymptomatic carriers, Typhoid Joe Bobs and Typhoid Berthas spreading the disease to immunocompromised people.

This is one of those situations that I wish they'd do to people who refuse to wear a mask in public what Christian fiction does in their stories to believers who won't take the Mark of the Beast: public beheading.

Tens of thousands, maybe more.

I don't get it though, how could they spread it to people already wearing the mask? Isn't that what this is all about?

No, masks don't keep us from getting it from other people, it's the opposite. Someone without a mask can cough or sneeze and it can end up on my mask, clothes, or anything. The virus lives for hours or days on surfaces giving lots of chances of transmission. The mask keeps the droplets from flying. That's why it only works if everyone does it. I was going to say something like "I can't believe I have to explain this to someone who can use the internet" but then remembered it was a trumpster that wrote that so makes sense.

Shouldn't people also be forced to wear latex gloves then? Why stop at the masks?

It seems like the same argument could be made for latex gloves and protective goggles. How many of you guys wear latex gloves and protective goggles along with your masks?

Again, if you wear a mask I don't need goggles. We also have sanitizer stations by the shopping carts, hand sanitizer, and wash your hands before eating or touching face. What a fucking dimwit, you're such a great example of everything wrong with you remaining 35‰ of dump supporters.

Masks and purell? That's all we need? Really? Well holy shit someone needs to contact every hospital in the world and tell them they have been doing things all wrong for decades now. A lot of unnecessary, time wasting stuff. Billions of dollars wasted every year on maintaining a sterile environment when all they really needed to do was wear one mask that they never ever change out and keep some hand sanitizer by the shopping carts. You are such a complete buffoon.

again, you're stupid, hospitals historically have been one of the best places to catch viruses or bacteria and they already are supposed to do way more than we're asking of you so what's your stupid point? It's trumpster minded fucks like you supporting the guy so Republicans are too terrified to do anything to protect people.

Personally I'll be fine, I can work at home for a company whose prospects only get better as this goes on, I clean my hands after every stop, we wipe off items before they are stored or used and I wash my mask regularly. I like that the pandemic has made companies move towards remote work because that will allow me to leave fucking Cali sooner. It's the poor and elderly people who are taking the brunt of this and Republicans are throwing "freedom" shit in the dumpster fire.

I just think it's great that Dump is working to kill so many people who would have voted for him. We'll all be voting or Biden for the lols but we'll all just be laughing out loud at people like you.

I would talk to you about the science behind all of this but you wouldn't be able to understand any of it so why even bother?

So you elect far left democrats that ruin your state, then move to red states where things are actually pretty nice and immediately elect the same politicians to enact the same failed polices that made your last state a complete hell hole? That is the problem with people on the left: they don't want to improve anything for anybody, they just want to make everyone as miserable as they are.

which part of "hospitals already got people sicker" don't you think id understand? The fact that people including medical professionals are lazy and flawed and do things like not wash their hands right or patents ive helped sell for medical fabrics that contain antibiotics? Dont get confused, you and people like you are arguing against even wearing masks.

no, currently we're thinking colorado, vermont, barbados, a $1 house in Italy, new Zealand, or any other place that starts offering an incentive for me to bring my work from home ass to.

So your solution is "disband the hospitals". Got it.

So by no you mean yes. Got it.

No. I am arguing that people should be forced to wear protective goggles and latex gloves on top of the masks. You don't read so well. Got it.

The masks are a "better than nothing" thing. The Japanese have used them for years every time a bad strand of the cold or flu comes around. They do it out of a courtesy and warning thing rather than barking down demands. Then it becomes much like a nudist place; you don't want to stick out there and be the only one wearing clothes (or in this case not wearing a mask) Many, many, Japanese still get sick despite being around people wearing masks while they are wearing masks themselves. I have a Japanese Twitter buddy that confirms this. He took all precautions, saw people around him taking him, still got sick as fuck at the same ages as I am. He's still recovering even though he got out of the hospital a while ago after being there about a month and a half.

I'm not saying don't wear them or that I don't put on the n-95, but I agree with Mays to the extent of unless we are all walking around in full tyrex suits, goggles, gloves, and respirators then people will die from this virus. Especially those with compromised immune systems. And even then, they could STILL get sick if the "virus lives on surfaces x amount of hours" science is true.

I should also add our own government and media said what I totally disagreed with as masks relate to Japan. Initially they all said "Don't buy or go out and wear masks unless you have symptoms." In Japan, especially if you live in or near Tokyo (high population) then the routine for years has been start wearing the stupid mask.

I was telling close friends that we should get recommendations to wear them at least as early as mid-March, got laughed at, then later get yelled at by people when I point out how silly it is to go too far with it or believe everything you hear.
