We didn't miss Flack's birthday

Happy birthday, Flack! It took me a while, but I think I've finally got this August 22nd date down now. Thanks for everything you do around here and for being one of our best posters as well as all-around excellent dude. The MAME Club has been tons of fun for everyone who has participated and is definitely the thread of the year in my view. Anyway, I hope you found a way to enjoy the day in a semi-socially distanced manner. Were any sombreros involved in the festivities this year?

For my Day After Flack's Birthday celebration this year, I'm going to finally check out one or more of Flack's podcasts. I've been meaning to tune in to those for a while now, but I just keep forgetting. And, to be honest, it's kind of intimidating to get started when one person has five podcasts going simultaneously. Is there a particular listening order I should be following? I want to save the podcast equivalent of The Silmarillion for last. Anyway, my plan is to get all caught up before Flack launches his sixth podcast, You Don't Know ACK, with Retro.

Thank you for the birthday wishes, BryanB. Today had its ups and downs, but was mostly good.

Why couldn't someone have done this, say, at 9 O'clock in the morning of the 22nd, so I could have seen it while it was still his birthday?

Happy (belated) birthday, Flack, for whatever it's worth.

While I don't follow astrology (and it's wrong for a number of reasons), I decided to look up his sign, and Google found this from Wikipedia::

Leo
It corresponds to the constellation Leo and comes after Cancer and before Virgo. The traditional Western zodiac associates Leo with the period between July 23 and August 22, and the sign spans the 120th to 150th degree of celestial longitude. Leo is associated with fire, and its modality is fixed.

Well, how about that, Flack, you come after cancer. Now, what's interesting was I originally made a mistake, I typed in "what sign is august 27" and got

Virgo
August 27th Zodiac
As a Virgo born on August 27th, you are characterized by your intelligence, generosity and discipline. You have outstanding social skills and seem to understand people with ease.

The funny thing is this seems to fit him better. That's (part of) the reason I don't believe in horoscopes. The predictions are so generalized as to apply to anyone. Also. your birthday falls on the "edge" of this sign (the first or last day) and thus characteristics of either or both signs can apply to the person. Another reason not to trust horoscopes is if if the star charts and the "predictions" were even accurate 2,000 or 3,000 years ago when first invented, the stars have moved since then, and would no longer be accurate now.
