You've been working every day of yo goddang live since you were 16 right? In any civilized society, 34 years of labor would be a frickin' nough.

My favorite thing about this poll was reading the different choices and remembering when in time I felt that way. Except for the "love it" option, at different points in my life I could have voted for each of them.

Being a programmer has been the greatest thing in my life, on the order of "The most fun you can have with your clothes oh (or even off)." You see, I have programmed in the nude, and unlike one other fun activity usually done naked, i can do programming for hours at a time, and have. It' is the sort of thing I have the stamina to do for hours. Yes it's often frustrating, but when I got home at the end of the day I felt a sense of accomplishment.

I still feel that way even now¹, when I'm writing code, you can "get in The Zone," and you forget everything else. One time, my boss enunciated it, when i mentioned how you can just get into this certain mindset where everything just flows. It can just be magic sometimes. There were times I got so engrossed in my work that I forgot to eat.
