The poll building is more fun than the polls, but I promise I will make all of the polls once they're built. But this is one I have strong feelings about. HERE I'LL START.

Eric Clapton - This will be my choice. He comes in top 3 in every "best guitarists ever" list. I have no idea why. And most of the music he was involved in is terrible. I need someone to explain this to me.

REM - I don't HATE their songs, I just generally don't care for them, but they are/were just huge, and I don't get it.

U2 - I DO hate their songs, and they're still like the biggest thing in the universe. Unacceptable.

Guns And Also Roses - HUGE. People LOVE it. I wouldn't listen to GnR if you paid me by the drum beat. The opposite of music.

I'm starting with these four. I could probably fill out the whole poll myself, but I'll give y'all a chance.

Let me point out, even though I hate GnR more than Eric Clapton, I'm still picking Clapton as the most overrated, because of the continuous nob-gobbling he gets. I know at least a few people who would agree with me that GnR sucks yak balls.

Also going with Clapton.

U2 = Sucks Too

My dad came up with that one 20 plus years ago and it still rings true.

U2 and REM top my list as well, followed by Elvis.

I'll add Red Hot Chili Peppers, Grateful Dead, and Phish, for starters.

Having listened to about 20 hours of the 80s channel on Sirius during our vacation, it is inconceivable to me that anyone in the universe could possibly enjoy Blink-182 or the Mother Fucking Gin Blossoms.

We don't really want to call pop punk overrated do we? You guys have hated every note for 20 years. The abuse I've been given has torn at my soul. It's been hurtful.

Now you're saying that the genre is excellent, maybe TOO good.

Wait. Why was Blink 182 and Gin Blossoms on an 80s station?

I think "What's My Name Again?" and "Until I Fall Away" are good songs. The latter you have to be depressed for. Which is okay, they made a pandemic for it!

Wait! Does Pinback hate "Layla"?

I dislike Layla. I mean, the song. I'm sure she was very nice in person.

It's about 10 minutes too long but man, the opening to that was inarguably badass I thought.
