In case anyone was wondering, No, I have not died

Hi, and to quote Dennis Quade in Independence Day, "Hello boys, I'm back!"
The Friday of about two and a half weeks ago, the Internet stopped working. I left a message with maintenance, (I ended up calling them so much, their extension - 1057 - is on Speed Dial in my head), that the Internet was down. And again on Monday. And Tuesday. And Wednesday... almost every weekday (no point leaving messages on voice mail on weekends, no one will hear them until Monday anyway.) I made it my mission to call every day and leave a voice mail. "This is Paul Robinson in Room 330B, extension 6631. The Internet is down, I'd like someone to let me know what's wrong and when it is expected to come back up." Of course, I never got an answer. I would check every day by seeing if I could connect to Google or YouTube, switching between them, so the browser has to do an actual data connection, which, of course, always fails.
So, about 20 minutes ago I got this notification pop up with an attention sound, to see the most wonderful message: "Action required for Promedica Guest" meaning I need to connect to the login page to reconnect to the Internet!
Finally! After a few fits and starts, I got connected. Then after a very long time, maybe close to a minute, I waited for Google to load, and it did. (Normally, the load time for Google's home page is about 3 seconds.) So, my first act was to connect here and tell all my friends that, as Mark Twain allegedly said, "The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated."
No, I don't doubt that someday the Grim Reaper will come for me, and I'll end up logging off from the world. But not yet, and hopefully not for many years.
