Yeah. Do ya?

When I was a kid the ultimate in cool was a kid having their own tv in their bedroom. I was not ultimate or cool. In fact, I was rather poor, television-wise. We didnt even have a color set until 1976 or so. Not having a tv at sleepy-time set the mold for the rest of my life

You didn't have "other." I don't have a TV; I would have to provide it. My roommate leaves his on 24/7. I leave my monitor on 24/7, however.

When I was younger I slept with the television on all night. My wife cannot sleep with the television on. For the past 10-15 years, every night before bed I put in earbuds, start a video on my iPad, and fall asleep while it is playing. I voted for "I can't sleep without it."

I don't have TV. Because of how enlightened and superior and cool I am, a fall asleep to the same part of the audiobook I'm trying to listen to, which I don't remember anymore the next night, so I've been perpetually listening to that same part for years now.

Funny, I listen to a variety of audiobooks and podcasts when falling asleep. Cosmos, Short History of Nearly Everything and Retrobits
