Nothing is stopping you from reaching into that fridge, grabbing yourself a COLD WIENIE from that pack of hot dogs and just shoving it in your mouth.

When I was younger. They are marginal when cooked, eating them cold was more of an experiment, although a casual, grab and eat kind of experiment. I'm gonna say not more than three times total.

One thing I've been doing since the 1960s, is to eat cold raw hamburger out of the fridge. I have (unintentionally) grossed people out by doing so. Yes, it was greasy.

They are pre-cooked. Nobody has ever eaten an uncooked hot dog.

I suspected someone was going to say this, but if I said, "One that had never been cooked after purchase," people would complain I'm being pedantic.

They have to make sure food-borne parasites are killed. Might be inedible id uncooked or because people do eat them that way or feed them to their dogs.

Yes, because grocery stores never sell uncooked meat.
