What is HPV? ( no google)

It's not the socially debilitating disease that it used to be.

We could really use the community to rally around the BBS st the moment. And show support. And involve a vase.

How exactly does an electronic bulletin board contract a sexually treated infection (STI)? Especially one called "human papillomavirus" and if I am not mistaken, is only caught by women? Although I might be wrong on the last point. Now, I will go look.

It is exclusive to human beings, can be caught by either sex, and is the cause of cervical cancer. I wouldn't worry about it, though, 90% of HPV infections are killed or reduced to undetectable levels by the host's immune system within two years.

Well, that is the thing, in the times we live in now, we do not shame the BBS for what happened, but instead, we are going to try to find a cure.

Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease. But not in this case, where the disease is a very public helping of HPV, and the cure completely gets rid of it.

I was not "shaming" this facility, I was asking how the infection is even possible. It's like me claiming to have [1]tobacco mosaic virus, [2] feline AIDS, [3] amenorrhea, or [4] sickle cell anemia. No one would be shaming me for asking how I have [1] a virus exclusively affecting tobacco plants; [2] a disease exclusive to cats; [3] irregular menstrual periods; or [4] a condition almost completely restricted to Negroes.

Now that I've completely derailed the subject you can see why Straw dubbed me "Blue The Buzzkiller."

Pretty much every thread I post in or start dies almost immediately. It's like no one wants to interact with me.

Last week I had my 23th bout of Hypoxic, Hypercapnic, Chronic Respiratory Failure. I was intubated and had a feeding tube in for most of last week. The first time they extubated me I almost died and I remember the terror and complete loss of control for those few minutes when i could not breathe and i was tied to the bed and my trachea collapsed, b4 they put me back into a medically induced coma. It was one of the top 2 scary moments of my life.

Today I'm battling my 3rd bladder infection 3 weeks in a row, and I've been passing lots of bloodclots in my urine for 2 weeks.
And my very first diabetic foot infection.
They are scared of sepsis, amputation.

What can I say? I am a child of the 60's, that term was acceptable then, and I don't have much contact with people where the status of black people is concerned, because race was not a factor in my interactions with others except in where someone else had a problem. I stand corrected.
