In Italy, contractors will not only break the toilet handle, but will grab and eat all your food from the fridge and have sex with your wife. So you should consider yourself lucky.

Got a couple of quotes that I would like to post.
Gutter clean: we have a gutter in front of our garage. They obviously don't know it was just that and not the entire house, but the quote was $309. For that price, yes, I will go out there with a ladder and do it myself.
We have a 500 pound vanity for our upstairs bathroom that needs to go upstairs. We tried lifting it with moving straps. The one thing not broken around here and the one thing that is not a problem is my back and I don't feel this is worth ten years of back pain. The quote we got was "$90 per mover per hour. And the hour starts when they leave the building and ends when they get back." I have seen that phrase or tactic used before and it is sooooooooooo fucking smug that it makes me sick, and I can't consider it. It wasn't exactly my idea to get this monstrosity but now it's my problem, if any junior JCers were out there wondering what marriage can be like.

For 300$ you could fly me out there to clean the gutters and move the vanity and I'd still make roughly 100$ of that heh-heh

We know, we know.
Have you tried the Home Depot on demand workforce? I hear they get $20 an hour and you can just pick them up and drop them off.

Fuggin seriously. Part of me would love to take you up on that, if I had time off work so we could and such. But yeah, the rates out here for things are out of control. On the other hand, if I get paralyzed in a ladder accident because I cleaned gutters and am bad at it, welp.
/licks index finger

I swear every Home Depot but the ones I go to have those. Yes, I would absolutely do that. Shit, maybe I should check to see if that happens closer to the city.
