If you cook them at home, you ate ALL THE MEMBRANES! You're mostly made out of MEMBRANE by this point!!

I voted "no", but I was "yes" up until a few weeks ago when I saw a cooking show and at this BBQ joint in Hawaii, the chef said he didn't because he liked the texture, and I was happy to switch to a chef-approved method, because removing it is such a pain in the ass it's almost enough to not bother making the fuckin' things at all.

Suddenly I feel ribs are going to burst out of my stomach, sing Ragtime Gal and scuttle under the couch. This membrane you speak of, is it gross to behold?

It's just more annoying to hold. Ribs take enough time to prepare as it is, let's try to eat sometime this week, alright?

How many man-hours (/checks consumption data) man-hours have we lost trying to eliminate this filth?

And it's harmless?

That's what they said about leaded gasoline and CFCs. These membranes could be dangerous to humanity in ways we cannot fathom.

Pork ribs: Never

Beef ribs: Most of the time. It's also easier to remove with beef.. especially if you boil them a bit first to tenderize before baking or grilling.
