Happy birthday, Roody!

Today I am 45. I feel like.. maybe 37?

The only thing I am giving up this year is skateboarding. After 30 years, breaking my back 3 years ago and recently shattering my wrist and breaking my arm without visiting a hospital for shit.. I’d say I’m done. I can still surf and do other shit on the water but I’ve aged out most my skateboarding friends.

I did in fact straight up give away my skateboard to a younger co-worker a few days after breaking my wrist. He seemed to really dig it. Sticking to water based shit and physical labor type shit from now on.

Roody you do anything special? I went to Sir Pizza again which I’ve shared pics of here before.. was nice though. Also, 2 am waterslides lol

I had some family come over and we had taco subs for dinner.

I wanted to make my 2 year old nephew really excited about the occasion so I bought myself a birthday card and said it was from my OLD FRIEND PIRATE BOB. Inside, there was the first clue to a treasure hunt I had hidden around the house. My nephew's imagination has really started to come out over the last few months. I had put together some treasure hunts for him before (since he had loved a treasure hunt themed YouTube video), and during the last one, at various steps, he'd pretend to be reading the current clue and say things like, "pirate boat" or "pirate sword!". So I decided that I needed to get him a pirate ship and a pirate sword and put them with the clues along the way in the birthday hunt. I made the final treasure just be gummy worms, since, hey, the treasure hunt was supposedly for me so the treasure had to be something I liked.

Anyhow, he was literally hopping with excitement when he saw his first toy so that was pretty cool.

Other than that, I've just been trying to check out a few local restaurants that I had been meaning to visit.

Ah very cool. I recall you talking about playing games like that with your nephew before.

I’ve never heard of the concept of a taco sub, but it looks awesome!
