I just saw that DOGE cut funding that went to the Internet Archive before coming here. I have a friend that works there and they do good work. I am irritated at the pieces of garbage cutting grants and would love to see them hung.

So. Irritation and rage.

Great answer! Would you be able to be more specific about what that irritation and rage actually feel like, physically?

(And also to 'Vark, would you be able to be more specific about what "feelin' good" actually feels like, physically?)

Feeling goid because it's a floating holiday and I don't have to work, which means I slept in till 8AM. Those extra three hours recharge me more than coffee.

Also, a whole day in the lower 70s means I can do yardwork without a winter coat. Pleasant anticipation because I'm planning on sharpening the mower blades, firing up the chainsaw, starting the motorcycle; all the springtime chores that start the season.

Plus the pleasant anticipation of knocking off the house work around 4 and mixing a cocktail.

I do not feel emotions physically. That is the difference between an emotion and a sensation. To me.

I am curious about your question. Do YOU describe physical sensations as part of emotions? I have had therapists ask this exact question. I tell them I don't have physical reactions in that manner but they don't believe me, and we have already had plenty of laughing and goofing around and bits so they assume I am doing another one. But I am not. Then or now.

I can list a bunch of synonyms, but the emotions that I describe are the base level things that I have. They can not be divided into smaller particles. I mean, you can take the baby emotions that everyone is introduced to when they are four and add context, like:

Mad (divides into aggravation or rage, etc)
Happy (divides into contentment or joy or nostalgia, etc)

But no, I am unable to physically describe irritation. It is an emotion. To me. By the nature of your question, and the question of medical professionals, I believe that people do have a physical part to their emotions. I'm all emotion, friendo. (For this. If I get socked in the testicles, it's all physical and no emotion.)

I'm feeling my wife's friend's cat on my lap with my left hand. It's black and soft and purring. I am not a cat person at all, but this cat is fantastic and brings me much joy. If I knew I could get a cat like this one, I would. But any cat I got for myself would end up being an asshole and I'd regret it for the next 20 years.
