Tron 2.0 versus a crippling nervous system disease

Tron 2.0 is coming out shortly, and what a dev cycle it's been! You all remember the demo, I trust. But how does it compare to hated disease Multiple Sclerosis?

Web Presence?
MS: Quiet, reserved, intuitive
TRON 2.0: Bloated, obnoxious, mouse trailers

Advantage: MS

Reception of Demo?
MS: Bring on the radiation treatments upon discovery
TRON 2.0: Gouge out your own eyes

Advantage: MS

Shotgun involvement?
MS: Eventually prevents the use and operation of
TRON 2.0: Ridiculously, has it

Advantage: MS

Sufferers
MS: Senator Bill Bradley, Annette Funicello, Teri Garr, Montel Williams
TRON 2.0: When this thing hits the stores, everyone with $49.99 and a bit of nostalgia in their eyes

Advantage: MS

Light Cycle Implementation
MS: Rapid hand movements makes for unpredictable maneuvers
TRON 2.0 Inferior to glTron

Advantage: MS

And there you more or less have it. MS has been spanking the hell out of little bitches like TRON 2.0 for decades and there's little indication that the tide will be turning. Here's hoping they fixed the hell out of that thing when it makes it to market. Tron, I mean.

Yeah, all that is true, and I still pre-ordered Tron 2.0 just because of Lisberger's involvement.

I'm glad I decided against it.

Is this another instance of some kind of homeopathic telepathy, or did I actually tell you last night that I was on the phone with a friend of mine who's catholic priest friend who has been fucking some chick for years now just got diagnosed with MS?

That's gotta suck, because, you know and I know, no matter how rational human adults can be, if you're a catholic priest and you're fucking some woman and then you get MS, you're thinking Whammy from above.

I should have said somewhere that I was mostly going off that demo. And that I was "piling on." I, too, hope that the game itself is good, though I may wait for a few others to "take the plunge," as Republic: The Revolution's date apparently went from August to October back to August and I'll be buying that one blind.

This was a new one to me. Upon waking up, I'm kind of now regretting dragging MS into this because there is probably someone here who either suffers from it or has a friend or relative that does, and I am going to come off very poorly. Apologies in advance.

A woman? An adult woman? Ain't that just great. The catholic priests that have sex with women get Multiple Sclerosis. The catholic priests that have sex with little boys just get great orgasms. Where's the justice in that?

I just heard this commercial on a local radio station about MS. Sadly I was laughing at it due to this thread on the board. Anyone hearing me would have thought I was cruel and cold hearted.

The commercial has about a half dozen little kids trying to say Multiple Sclerosis. It ends with a woman saying "if you think it's this hard to say, how about living with it?" I suppose that's one thing Tron has going for it. It's easy to pronounce.

This?

Yeah, apparently the retail, non-demo version of the game is pretty good. Will find out myself here once I am finished with Republic.

Sorry about that, Tron devs. gg.

Okay, I'll admit I never got the "Tron" phenomenon. Maybe I'm too young, maybe I've just seen too much Babylon Five not to loathe Bruce Boxleitner, I dunno. Whatever. But to me, if you're going to make a Tron game, shouldn't it be like actually Tron with like minigames and shit and not an FPS?

I got Tron 2.0 today, and I think it's worth noting that even after downloading the official patch, I still couldn't get the damn thing to run. It wasn't until I downloaded an unofficial crack that the damn thing actually worked.

I just beat the first couple levels (which aren't that long) and just got to a lightcycle bit before I quit for a while. I'm torn between wanting to completely hate it and actually having some fun with it. We'll see how it goes.

Is this a classic gaming forum or not? I mean where's the witty crack about Mrs. King being the "surprise" evil genius behind the whole scary, infected-program, Tron plot? I mean it's obvious she was never getting any from the Scarecrow during the TV show, so she zapped him into the internet to subject him to all the porn there in an effort to unfreeze his patriotically-flacid member.

Must I be the only one with style, substance, and class on this board? ;)

And this has been another edition of the Z-Factor!

That's the classic gaming forum.
This forum is for general nuttiness and cocks.

So anyway, I beat Tron 2.0 tonight. Overall impression is that it isn't that impressive, and I think Lisberger had less to do with it than I originally thought. If one is interested in it for nostalgic reasons such as I was, maybe it'll be worth your while when it goes to bargain pricing.
