Fallacy of Dawn / E-mail / Problem

If you were the person who sent me an e-mail titled "Fallacy of Dawn problem" earlier today (it would have reached me right before 10:00am MST) please re-send -- when I woke up I had ten pieces of spam in my inbox and accidently clicked on your e-mail as well. If, on the off chance that you came to the forum to see if you could find me, you see this, please re-send to beaver@zombieworld.com.

My total apologies. I am taking steps to ensure that I don't knock off e-mail in the morning before my contacts are in.

What kind of shitty email program/online setup doesn't let you recover a deleted message right after you deleted it?

I'm guessing something like Eremove that let's you delete your shit before it's even downloaded on to your computer.

Zombieworld gives me the option to delete straight away without moving to a trash folder. Gonna change that. Usually I grab all my mail with Eudora, but for whatever reason when I woke up today I logged right in.

The thing that is making me paranoid is that there is an IF Ratings site where a guy wrote "Dumps to desktop" or something like that and gives the game a "1." I just uploaded a version with a couple minor bug fixes a month ago and I am really hoping that I didn't do something stupid and put a crashable version up instead of what should have been there.

But also, it could have been fan mail. You know fan mail, right Jeff? In your case it's usually people telling you what a TREMENDOUS BITCHKIN you are and telling you that you are being nominated for a webbie award in the field of OUSTANDING PEDANTRY.

I've been trying to avoid the computer while I'm not at work because I'm on it all day at work. It hasn't been very successful. And not having a phone was the nail in the coffin tonite.. and some Pauli Girl... carry on

I don't know. The guy never wrote me back.

Here's something someone can do to set my mind at ease: can someone download the game from the archive and run it and tell me that it runs OK?

It ran last time I downloaded it. Did you update it or anything?

Yeah, version 1.03 went up on the archive right before the CGE. I think it's fine, though, but it's only on my system I tried it on.

www.ifarchive.org/if-archive/games/hugo/dawn.zip I think.

Geeze, don't everyone jump to Robb's aid at once, guys. The new version runs fine on my computer, by the way.
