Halloween Costumes

Just curious what we are looking at here for Halloween. What is the plan. Is anyone going as Siegfried & Roy? You know, take a stuffed tiger and have blood gushing profusively. That could be both HOT and GAY.
I am making a suit out of AOL CD's. Those damn annoying cds that you never know what to do with. I am making a mask, cane, and entire suit out of the damn things. I am also adding lights to my eyes on the mask and all over the entire suit. Should be pretty trippy. I plan to enter the costume contest at the church dance club here in Denver.

I will have post pics.
Let me here some more funny costume ideas.

That place is really cool. How come they don't do stuff like that in Rochester and if they do how come I don't hear about it.

Well, Rochester doesn't have anything quite like that, but out of curiosity, I put in
Rochester nightclubs +goth into google. If I ever had any doubts about the encroaching compromisation of google's rank system, I am now a believer. 78% of the first 2 pages told me where to pick up a prostitute, and the rest told me where I could find some hardcore goth porn. I can really only imagine some sort of underground smut union that pooled their resources together and bought themselves a nice little top berth on various google searches, though why they'd bother wasting their money trying to make a go of it in Rochester is something perhaps better left abandoned to conjecture.
Anyway, my interest piqued, since apparently every example of booty I'll be seeing there when I go back for the holidays will be for sale at reasonable prices, I looked for various goth/industrial clubs in the area, which isn't what you were looking for, but alot of the alternative nights tend to set up shop in cool venues that have other sorts of dance nights on different nights of the week. I found
this link, which, if up to date, might be something I'd think about doing one night when I'm there for a couple hours. Being a huge industrial dork, and all. But yeah, in summation, your city
ain't cool. (who's that on entry number 6?)

Weeding through the BS:
Jet's a great guy. He is, however, a vampire.
Vertex, 169 Chestnut St, Rochester, NY
Wed: Extreme beats, noise & visions with dj DANGLER
Every industrial event here in Rochester is brought by Dan Dangler. He's bringing KMFDM this halloween!!
Anyway, either of those two nights will tickle your fancy I'm sure.

I was almost going to launch into a diatribe about how KMFDM isn't industrial, but then I realized that industrial isn't even industrial anymore, and nobody could give a shit. When I saw KMFDM last year in Anaheim, the sound was great, they shared the stage with Raymond Watts because they toured with Pig and they just all did each other's songs, but, for some reason, the setlist totally blew. They played only 1 good song from their entire discography, and a whole load of filler shit songs that didn't even sound better live. Weird. Still, to see them on Halloween would still be worth it.

If I ever use this line somewhere, I apologize. It is one of the best ones ever written on this board.

I'm totally serious. The very first time I met him he answered the door, said "head on upstairs" and when I got to the top of the stairs, he's sitting on his PC with his back turned. I didn't think much of it until the same thing happened on the way downstairs.. thought he was right behind me and he's downstairs in the kitchen making a sandwich. Repeat about 50 times and I was pretty freaked out. Not to mention the whatever-the-fuck-it-was ceremony I accidentally walked up in when there was a party going on. Kind of stuck my head up through the attic door, saw candles and a circle of people.. doing.. SOMETHING.. bizarre..and chanting.. and realized my head did not belong in such a place. Promptly turned back around and headed back to the keg.
Also, I have heard first hand reports of girls that he's bit on the neck.
So yeah, Jet=vampire, solid character tho.
And Vit, you're right. No one cares.
mmm bop, bop bop

Why are you dressed like its Halloween?
Do you live with snakes and lizards and other things that go bump in the night?
Just wondering.
The Church

The church is a little piece of goth heaven. The downstairs of this place is the best. It is like a fricken dungeon down there and they play industrial down there. Corpse paint tends to be applied amongst the goth go go dancers in this area. I highly recommend the church to anyone coming to Denver.
AWESOME place and I meet my wife there and she is a nice girl.

This is really a message for the Milker, but I did just want to quote that line again so everyone could see it when they went back to the thread.
But! It looks like Kurt Ravenschlag may not be having his party on Halloween after all, Milk. He said that (when I asked him about it) that "yeeeeahhhh... that would be a good idea...." which wasn't very commital. My brother Mike has a way of making people throw parties whether they want to or not. (Maybe it's a Sherwin thing: Jeff used to have some of his Kyle Block Party Weekends announced and promoted by me and not his own self when his parents left town.)
But anyway, if that doesn't go through I want to go to "The Church" with you for Halloween. Not sure what I am going to be, yet -- I guess the Joker for the last time in my life. The Joker or Tron.

Hey! That's me! I didn't even think that was still on the Trotting Krips site. Heh.

In your IF Hall of Shame picture, you look kind of like the character RAM.

So is it okay if I feel like I'm better than some people?

If Vampirism is what it takes for you to feel better than someone else, then no.

RAVENSCHLAG PARTY UPDATE!!
Mike made is sound like Ravenschlag is definitely throwing a party. Fuck, FUCK I hope I didn't get on the uninvited list because of my actions last year.
"Baby, I can change."
Milk, I'll let you know as soon as I know. The Hayride and haunted house thing is looking really good for next weekend, though.

Sounds like I'm being strong-armed into going to a Halloween party this year.
Big S (from you-know-where - and she said it in person, so you can't find it by searching groucho) came up with what I think is a goddamned cool idea for a costume, so I'm going to do that. However, you have to be a gamer (and a gamer who plays obscure, weird games) to "get it."
Aaaand, it should be noted that most Google searches for "Rochester" will refer to Rochester, Michigan. Well, except for "Rochester sucks" searches. And maybe one or two others.
Well, it seems like that's all I get whenever I search for anything.

You've been "strong-armed" to every party you've ever gone to, you miserable killjoy.
What are you going as this year? A killjoy, in fact? An actual one? I mean, "what are you going as for Halloween." Obviously, you will be going as a killjoy regardless of whether or not you have a mask on or something.
You could always just wear a lot of clothes and lots of layers and go as your dog, I guess.
