Nigella Lawson Makes Learning Fun!

I am become a very good cook because of this woman. Okay, so I've only actually *tried* her recipes once or twice, but I watch her, avidly, as she prepares her meals each day on the UKStyle channel, and quiver.

The woman's voice is like honey, she's talented, intelligent, and curvy in that "I really like chocolate but it sticks to the right places" kind of way.

Yes.

I like Nigella Lawson.

I'm finding it hard to believe her shows aren't aired *anywhere* in the USA, but I can't find her mentioned. Which is a shame. I am trying to find atleast an MP3, but her programmes do not seem to appear on LimeWire.

:(

On last night's show she was preparing a whole side of pork, and she was massaging, and leaning over and I quivered some more. It's like she was massaging that pig just for me.

I can't blame her for being married, and having two children aged two and three.

Nor can I blame her for her father's delusions.
So, he was a power-hungry MP bent on the destruction of Britain.
So self-obsessed he named his own daughter after himself.

But, Nigel Lawson, for this the British People forgive you.

I used to watch Graham Kerr. Then I found his website, and now know that this man has more than just recipes that switch arrowroot for cornstarch, he has the answers to the eternal questions attempting to reconcile the theory of internet use with that of the ideology of bourgois America!

Graham Kerr is taking over restaurants and cable tv in your area! Graham Kerr is going to FUCK YOU UP!!!

Graham Kerr is already here. Graham Kerr is standing right behind you. Graham Kerr does not approve.

The smell of roasting low-fat Hawaiian pork and marinated palm frond are coming from INSIDE THE HOUSE.

One of my favorite cooking shows is Iron Chef. It's a hugely over-dramatic cooking BATTLE between two top notch fine dining chefs. Each week the chef's are given surprise ingredients and have to plan and make a four to five course dinner in a half hour. The commentary and judging is so funny that I've watched hours of this at a time. Course it helps to be a bit stoned to get the most out of it.

Also, check out Iron Chef USA with William Shatner:

I believe both the show and the chefs' time limit are an hour.

One New Year's Eve, I watched the marathon with the top 10 most requested ingredients. The top ranked episode Squid Challenge was amusing though sad, because I don't like to eat animals that are directly harvested from the sea. I forget what number 3 or 4 was, but that was my favorite. It might have been potatoes, but I'm not sure. I did not know potato ice cream could be good! I always thought rice would be, though.

You're right about the time limit. We watched the New Years Eve marathon too, my favorite episode was the one with the prawns. One of the judges said about 8 times that the dish would have been wonderful except with a different type of prawns. It was really funny at the time.

The best part is the sensual way the women describe the dishes and the dramatics of the dubbing.

Let me help you understand, it's simply more interesting for us to talk about cooking shows we have seen and like than to just read about your favorite cooking show which we haven't ever seen.

Nigella is fantastic. She makes every word somehow drip with suggestion, and honey, and Britishness, and manages to deliver every single broadcast in an overtly sexual way without actually *saying* anything. The woman's brilliant.

They do air in the US, I have watched her. Have you even attempted to find her? She's rather famous here. And I've seen her shows on BitTorrent (which I find to have far more content than LimeWire anyway). But I find her shows to be boring. Alton Brown she is not.

Alton Brown RULES! Aside from kicking ass in general, he is about to start hosting Iron Chef USA.

But of course, he cannot compare to Graham Kerr, who is watching me, even as we speak.

Watch me on Oprah's show today! I jiggle and slither my way to culinary heaven, and I do it with panache! (and squid).
