GAME TIME!

Finally got some freaking spare time now.
Maybe it's not like this for anyone else, but when I release one of these text games and then get laughed at by my brother for making games without "animation," I get very depressed. You... well, if you're me -- you go from always having a little voice in the back of your head saying, "you should work on your project" to that voice being DEAD.
It's quite dead.
So here's the stuff I stored up and backlogged, and my take on them. The first thing I want to do is continue to beta test the game Debaser is working on. (It's awesome. The world has another fine author in the wings here, mark my words.)
FAR CRY: I had a lot of fun with it when I stopped playing. I only stopped playing because I had to get some work done, and I couldn't otherwise focus. I like how if you keep dying a certain way it gives you free health. Finally! For me! A GAME FOR ME!
Chances of coming back to it: HIGH
NARCOLEPSY: Left the house, briefly, then came right back. Didn't want to get influenced by it accidently, because it was written in the first person, like ND. It's a relief to play a game where I can just do things and explore things. Plus, Adam handles all sorts of weird input. This is what I am currently enjoying.
The other thing... it occurs to me that one of the reasons I don't write for the RFTK site any more is because I've got some odd opinion that I have to go out there and review games from people nobody's ever heard of. Christ, I don't have the time, any longer. I think I'll just review games from people I know, or at least not get all worked up about how I want to go see the latest project from an author with a great history. People with a rep for making good games had to earn it, after all.
Chances of coming back to it: CURRENTLY PLAYING
GOTHIC II: Morrowind was ultimately good, even though I panned parts of it here on JC (it's in the features section). What Gothic II has, that Morrowind doesn't, is apparently people who go out and live their lives, not caring what you as a dude are doing. I like games that don't care about me. If I feel that stuff is going to take care of itself then I don't feel so bad when I state that I can't care less about the plot.
This one I haven't even installed. I was going to lend it to my brother to see if he could tell me if it's worth playing or not. I've heard nothing but good things, though.
Chances of coming back to it: Er, zero, but the chances of me playing it for the first time: MEDIUM
DEVIL WHISKEY: They finally finished their content patch. So it's officially "done." Now I gotta find my password so I can get it. That needs to happen.
Chances of coming back to it: MEDIUM-HIGH
ROBOT ALCHEMIC DRIVE: A Playstation II game and the best giant robot game I've ever played on a console. I can't stand the pony-tailed scientist. What an annoying little piece of crap. Fuck that guy. Love the game, otherwise.
Chances of coming back to it: LOW
NHL 2002: I crushed the last guy I played 6-2 and I was sort of hammered at the time.
Chances of coming back to it: WHENEVER PINNER DECIDES HE NEEDS TO BE COMPLETELY HUMILIATED AGAIN, OR, "HIGH"
