Alliance of Evil Fantasy Football
(Note to regular members of this BBS: this is a thread I set up for the guys I am in a non-JC football league with. Please avoid posting to this particular thread, as it will only cause mass confusion, hysteria, race warfare and imploding organs.)
(Note to members of the Alliance of Evil fantasy football league on Yahoo.com, or, Mike, Kurt, Luddy, Fodge, Sailer, Bundy, Henry, Chris, and Steve: Feel free to talk trades and make offers in this thread. Be sure to type your name in the "from" field so people have some idea who the hell you are. You can register if you want but it's not necessary for this. I'm in the process of signing everyone up to the league in order of the draft, so in the meantime we can use this.)

Hi everyone,
The draft day and time will be Sunday, September 1st at 12:00EST. This breaks down as follows:
9:00PST: Luddy
10:00MST: Robb, Mike, Fodge, Bundy, Sailer, Henry
11:00CST: Kurt
12:00EST: Chris, Steve (Mike may possibly be in NY, not sure yet)
The draft will be over ICQ, with the Colorado goons interacting locally if they like.
The prizes will be split as follows:
1st Place: $300
2nd Place: $100
The following rule changes will be in effect:
o Trades: No protesting. In cases of obvious collusion I will block the trade. Everyone's been doing this for years; if you make a bad trade then you can live with it, plus I no longer feel like dealing with the drama addressed by the few members who make it an issue each year.
o The teams will be added in order of the original draft placement. I had to sign up as the first team, so we'll go from there, i.e., if I am drafting 5th for instance I will begin adding teams to the Yahoo league starting with whoever is drafting 6th.
o Waiver Wire pickups: Priority is solely based on Yahoo's retarded moon logic. If you accidently drop a guy it's open season.
o Inaccesibility: If you're going to be unable to update your team, I will be able to make changes for you, so long as you get a hold of me before the deadline. Last year a guy played three Browns during their bye week towards the end of the season. The effect was that we booted him for this year. Don't be "that guy."
o Draft Position Deals: You will know your draft position before the draft starts, so if you wish to move up or down feel free. These trades will become null and void if a trading team ends up missing the draft (i.e., a replacement player is not subject to the whims of a draft day dodger).
We have ten teams (down two from last year) but we're also going with 17 roster spots rather than 20. The two scoring rule changes is that quarterback passing yards clicks off on 40 rather than 50, and you will get 0.01 points for each pass reception and pass defensed. This last change is to help stop ties, which is a feature that Yahoo will not let us remove.
Hope everyone has some fun. If an emergency crops up and that day doesn't work for one of you, let me know as soon as possible. We can't move the day, but I can at least get you on a draft list. If you have any questions, please let me know. This e-mail address or beaver@zombieworld.com is fine to use.

Draft Order
Here's the draft order, determined on Saturday by the throwing of a 10 sided die:
1) Matt Davis
2) Robb Sherwin
3) Henry Jeanes
4) Kurt Colville
5) Chris Monahan
6) Bryan Sailer
7) Mike Sherwin
8) Aaron Fodge
9) Gabe "Luddy" Roussere
10) Steve "Da King" Oelheim
Draft order snakes, of course, so Steve has the #10 and #11 overall picks, etc.

You'll be the last guy to join the Yahoo one as you pick one slot ahead of me.
And you still forgot to put your name in the username area you dumb fucker. How does a guy who spends all of his life on-line not know how to work BBS software? Come on now, Bundy!!

Sorry Ladies
My bad. I didn't get signed up until a the day after I got the email..... goddamn dial up access...........
Nah, you're fine, it was these other squeaking bitches who ought to be ashamed of themselves.
(On the off chance that Colville, who also signed up, reads this, I should note that he got logged in within a few hours. So he was fine, too.)
I was thinking of trying to trade down from #2, but I don't know: I've never been that far up before. Davis (or whoever) will take Marshall Faulk and I can then decide on a QB or something.
Unless Jeanes wants to move up one spot and guarantee he gets whatever non-Faulk player he wants.

You know, you don't exactly have a roster spot locked up on the flag team as if you were Brett Favre or something there, bud. Actually, I expect that you, Sailer or Fodge will be thrown off the team at some point during Monday's game. The rest of us ought to chip in some money and wager on who it will be. One of the following scenarios will happen:
1) You will say, under direct orders to do otherwise, something -- anything -- to Fodge, resulting in your immediate ban
2) Sailer will say something to a member of the other team, resulting in a 15 yard penalty and his expulsion
3) Fodge will say something to the refs (on defense) resulting in a 15 yard penalty and his getting kicked off the team
You and I both know one of the three is going to happen. The best you can hope for is not to be "that guy;" that the second or third thing happens instead.
Oh, and I'll also predict that someone on Troy's team will attempt to snap the ball on two, but this will not cause either myself or Ryan to go offsides but instead a member of Troy's own team. You heard it here first. Reading this after Monday's game will make me look like fucking Nostradamus.

Great Davis, keep it to yourself, and since you've managed to keep yourself in such tip-top shape once again, your opinion is worthless. You need to spend time worrying about your own obvious short-comings and leave Fodge alone. If you're intersted in what the majority think, they think it's joke that you would complain about anyone else on the team, and probably think you would quit if you received 5% of the abuse you're giving Fodge. This needs to be the end of it. If you want to complain about Fodge you should at least attempt to become a better player than him.

Well, it should be noted that none of the stuff that I mentioned came true. In fact:
1) Sailer didn't say anything to anyone, and when he did score, he did so in a relatively humble manner
2) Fodge played CB extremely well, especially since Ryan was flushing the QB over to his side on just about every play (and that guy didn't seem like the type who was able to easily go across his body to make a throw -- not a shot towards him, it's tough for the pros to even do that)
3) You (er, Davis) were able to comport yourself like an adult out there as well.
34-6. I don't think I'd ever been on a team that was up on somebody in any sport by half that margin, much less a full 28. Fantastic!
